body image tw.  frankly?  his relationship with his body isn’t great.  he’s gotten tattoos and experimented with different styles trying to find something that really clicks for him but,  especially as his band keeps getting bigger and he sees more photographs of himself he’s just not in love with what he sees.  he’s the type of person that three times a year will commit to clean living and really getting Cut and keep up with it for like two weeks before the gang tells him they’re hitting the town and he simply can’t resist <3 time to get full wasted and inexplicably end up at jack n the box with an ungodly amount of food <3  if ur body is a temple his is one that has been simply condemned and then defaced <3

mental illness tw.  he’s getting by....  evan has a therapist now everyone clap for evan.  does he cooperate with her?  not really.  is he starting to feel similar to his physical glow up about it,  like it’s time to just pull the plug and go do something extremely darksided for a little bit of the happiness chemical?  yeah.  but he’s giving it a try.  i think evan is someone who spends a lot of time in his head and like is well acquainted with how upsetting that can be and he genuinely would like to not feel like that and get to be a sexy musician that enjoys their life but. that’s gonna take work and if the man has proven anything music is literally the only thing he is able to put actual work and effort into.

wade’s got hand holding on lock but.  i think just generally speaking probably gracie correct me if i’m wrong but i feel like she’s a very tactile and physically affection person in a way wade broadly speaking isn’t.  he’s not turned off by it and if anything enjoys that she takes that Role but that being said it sure does feel like it would be her role... beautiful woman longs for touch.

i think they’re both protective in their own ways.  but i think i’m gonna say wade.  i see him as someone who doesn’t have a lot of Close and Personal relationships but when he loves he loves Hard. i think he’s always been protective in that Classic Southern Gentleman way whether she needs it or not but.  i talked about it a little on the hc meme i’ll never post ( 🙈 )  i think especially after she became Estranged from her parents he felt a need to step up and be more of a Protector.  i think he made a huge push to like start taking gracie and lainie to his parent’s house for little cookouts and stuff.... just warms his heart to watch their sisters talk or his mom and gracie chat on their beautiful front porch.  they’re family point blank period and he’s willing to go to bat for her at the drop of a pin if she needed him too and he really prioritizes making sure that she knows that.

i think gracie.  because wade is a [redacted] and wouldn’t say it until he knew for sure he wasn’t going to make an asshole of himself.  and grace just seems Braver than him in that respect,  and more open to like being the person that makes big moves and takes risks like saying i love you.  wade wishes he could be the type to go for the Big Firsts in their relationship but i feel like most of them would have been in gracie’s court because he just overthinks that kind of thing,  or at least,  he especially did when they got together in high school.

very hard call to make because tristan is bit himbo and spencer is bit intense focused on literally everything in the world but his interpersonal relationships...  that being said i think when it comes down to it spencer would be the first to have that Oh Shit kind of moment. like he will swear up and down that it’s not like that but at the end of the day...  as soon as it clicked for him how much tristan for real just Cares about his whole deal it would be over. friendship ended with lusting over men who refuse to look him in the eye,  tristan who actually cares if i live or d*e is the new subject of my romantic fixations.

i think. tristan probably. like it’s hard because i think they would both be protective in their own ways, and spencer’s would definitely be like a louder more abrasive way of trying to stand up for tristan and stuff but tristan’s just feels Impactful on a personal level that like not only would he defend spencer but also like. try and care for him and protect him from himself as corny as it sounds.  like its one thing to be willing to argue with someone in his Honor but making sure he doesn’t run himself into the ground because of his crushing need to have tangible proof of his Impact?  that’s real protection.

tristan. idk if that’s in character for him but a) seems like he’s sweet enough to and b) spencer sounds like such a bitch when he texts..... his Tone and the way he conducts himself just doesn’t transfer so even if he tried to send his version of a cutesy text it would simply fall short and probably sound like a rude attack.

injury tw, accident tw.  knock on wood eli has generally been in Good Health for most of his life.  the biggest exception to this is when he was in high school he got in a bike accident riding thru downtown seattle (trying to get home before his mom woke up) after a [redacted] appointment.  the worst of his injuries took a hit on his left leg and he was a bitch during the recoup from that + after. he was frankly just a little insecure about being the kid with a limp for the rest of high school it was something that really bothered him as he was already just Not Killing It Socially but now that he’s a party city employee with a less noticeable limp he doesn’t care about it as much.

eli has been very candid about the fact that he just is not out there pursuing love at this Point In Time and he’s not sure if that will ever change.  he talks big game about how it’s because love is a sham and an illness x ( see: reasons why brooke finds him upsetting to speak to ) but in reality he’s just not interested in any kind of serious, monogamous relationships right now.  he wonders if that will ever change sometimes or if it could sneak up on him one day when he’s up at 4am after smashing a bottle of pino grig,  but for the most part,  he likes how things are now.

he’s not religious.  he wishes he was right now specifically,  but he’s not.  he has friends that are,  and sees how they find comfort in it and it helps them through the Hard Times but he just cannot get into it himself.  that being said ( because i literally just love rping myself especially with brooke and eli ) he will sit with brooke whenever she feels moved to perform religion and say a little prayer on their mom’s behalf.

brooke grew up in the middle of her siblings but make no mistake.  she was baby.  it’s largely just because she’s got these two brothers who just have very Strong and sometimes Harsh personalities and she got literally all the sensitivity that was supposed to be spread between them.  she was the tattle tale and she was the one glued to their mom’s hip as much as she could be,  because it just felt like the place where they would least get away with antagonizing her of engaging in evil and exclusionary behavior.

that all being said.  it still makes her immensely happy to be around her family right now.  even if the circumstances are less than ideal,  she does love getting to listen to her brothers talk or like go grocery shopping with greer like it’s just nice to have everyone together again ( and for the first time, in regards to greer ), and her happy place would just be like some amazing pre-christmas dinner forever getting to just Exist around like to just sit in the kitchen and get to observe them even would be enough to make her feel good and warm.

she sits in the empty bathtub,  knees pulled to her chest.  she’s brought a bottle of blueberry moscato with her,  just to take a moment to herself,  a breather amidst a night amongst friends:  something that technically should be a breather in itself.   but some nights were worse than others.   for the most part,  she’d managed to regain her footing  and remember her place in the wake of seth’s rejection.   but late nights,  when she was a little tipsy and wistful,  it was hard,  to watch him work the room.  logically,  she knows he’s full of shit.  he’s not looking to start anything real with anyone who shows up to these things.  but all the same,  it stung.  it was almost a comfort when scout walked in on her,  as it meant that was one less girl in the party at large for him to chat up.  she smiled from the tub.  “ you found me,  ”  rory said,  before balling up tighter and patting across from her in the tub,  offering the other girl a seat.  the music swells into the room if only for the moment,  and she’s almost ready to go back out,  but not quite yet.  in the mean time,  she changes the subject.  “ i couldn’t listen to aaron trying to explain instagram to austin again.  i’m just not that strong.  my brother is an absolute luddite and for some reason,  i take that as a personal failure.  did i miss anything good ?  ”   ( @strvwberryblcnde​ )
