Would it be funny running gag if Lynx never actually met Sampo Koski, and each time she did meet him, she's either interacted with one of Sampo's many masks/aliases (including the unintentional "Blue Yeti") or that Sampo already left the area that Lynx was going to (since I imagine Sampo would not bring himself to con her, even if it is just an act)

This is basically how it's been yes. Sampo's always just been out of reach, and she always finds supplies and little gifts right when she needs them.

In 2006 astronauts onboard the International Space Station, decided to fill up an old space suit with spare clothing, strap a small radio transmitter to it, and release it into space. This is the image taken shortly after.

While, I cannot condone the idea of space littering, as it's a serious issue and hazard to anybody now going into Earth orbit, thankfully the suit orbited for a few days then burnt up in the Earth's atmosphere.
