Medical imaging: seeing inside the human body by Alvin Kwan
Introduction:
It’s hard to imagine what modern medicine would be like if we didn’t have the ability to look inside the human body without cutting it open. In the last three decades, medical imaging has grown rapidly, primarily as a result of the emergence of faster, more compact and inexpensive computers. Now, we can generate medical images of the body in many different and more sophisticated ways, including the creation of moving three-dimensional images.
