Operation Sewing Room Safe Space was a bust. On a brighter note, our Jynx appears to be a ballerina. Or part flying squirrel. #catsofinstagram #kittens #kittensofinstagram #ijustwantspace https://www.instagram.com/p/Bv4tl6qHHls/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1u9dzaiu4pz43
// When he was about two or three, Apollo went up to one of the older kids at the youth home, hands behind his back.
He asked them, "Are you ready?"
They ignored him, so he asked again. "Are you ready?"
A few more times and they--still not looking at him--finally said yes, they were ready.
Turns out, Apollo wanted to play catch and thought that smacking someone else in the head with a golf ball was okay as long as they were ready.
(This is based off a true story, actually. I did this to my dad, heh.)

// I thought I mentioned this in his bio, but apparently not?
During the time Apollo lost his vision, he was with a foster family. They were—really good. They really wanted to give a home to a child & they loved Apollo, & Apollo loved them. They wanted to adopt him. It was like a dream come true.
They weren’t prepared to deal with their child getting sick. They weren’t prepared to deal with a kid constantly crying because his eyes hurt, nothing looks right, he can’t see. Not to mention, it rattled them that Apollo might have MS or an autoimmune disease.
Apollo picked up on their worry and stress, which affected his emotional/mental state, and tried to internalize everything just so they didn’t worry. Besides, he figured it would all blow over soon and he’d have a family. They sent him back to foster care after deciding they weren’t fit to take him in. :|

// I don’t think I’ve put this on this blog yet, but: Apollo has Borginian heritage from his mother’s side.
