we were gardening all day and i felt it was appropriate to share Him.

♢ "...Rhys? It's good to see you again." Ike leans forward, wrapping his arms around the warm priest, giving them a soft shake before stepping back.

“Ike!” Rhys joined in the hug, shamelessly throwing his arms around Ike’s shoulders. It seemed Ike really had taken after his father more and more as he grew, with broad shoulders and a sturdy stance. He gave off such a confident air too- not arrogance, but self assurance. Dependability.

Rhys watched over the mercenaries as much as he could, yet Ike was the one that radiated safety to him. He squeezed Ike in response to the shake, grinning as they separated. “I’m so glad you’re here! You seem to have fared well since I last saw you. I’d love to hear all about it! I- well it isn’t much, but I had thought of being a teacher back home, and after discovering this place I became one here, as well as just being a healer.

“I suppose it isn’t Commander Ike now, but regardless...” Rhys put a hand on Ike’s shoulder, memories threatening to overtake him with pure emotion at seeing him again. “Can’t speak for anyone but myself from our company, but I’d follow you anywhere you need me. Just like old times.”
