Trailer Park Challenge pt. 21

We’re celebrating a challenge milestone - Daisy Mae and Cory’s eldest son Ike became a teenager!

Ike: “Check it out! Pretty impressive, huh?!”

Yes, very impressive.

But you’re really more into book learning, aren’t you?

Ike rolls the Knowledge aspiration, which disqualifies him as heir. 

Sorry, Ike! Look on the bright side: this means that you’re allowed a maximum of 5 skill-related commands per day, which should keep you out of aspiration failure. Hopefully. And maybe keep this house from completely falling apart.

Jolene had a birthday too - it just occurred to me that I barely took any pictures of her. Oops. Her life must not have been very interesting as a toddler, hopefully that will change going forward!

Trailer Park Challenge pt. 33

The Second Annual Yard Sale

It’s that time of the year again! Emboldened by the warm weather and a slight cash inflow, the Fullers did a bit of renovating on the trailer - but what to do with those old windows and musty mattresses?

Have a yard sale, of course!

One of the mattresses is actually left over from last year, and Daisy Mae tries again to persuade someone to take the thing off their hands.

Townie: “Eww why is it damp?!”

Daisy Mae: “It’s been rained on - a bit - but rain’s just water, it’s harmless!”

Lindsay unwisely showed up as well, probably less for the merchandise and more for...other things...which Ike has not forgotten about. 

Hangry Ike: “You stay away from my family, you BITCH!”

Lindsay: “OW, you little...”

By the end of the day, the Fullers had sold almost everything...except THAT MATTRESS!

I’m starting to think they’ll never get rid of it, and it’ll become a family heirloom of some kind.

Trailer Park Challenge pt. 26

Daisy Mae’s relationship with Ike never quite recovered after a certain incident. The boy kept his mouth shut about what he’d seen, afraid his parents might split up if he said anything, but he kept to his broody teenage self from then on.

Therefore, the position of “golden child” was up for grabs. 

Misty, who is both clever and opportunistic, seized it with both hands. Heck, even the extended family noticed! An A+ report card? The girl’s got brains and no mistake!

Misty: “Check it out, Dad! I got an A+!”

Jolene: “Nerd.”

Misty *ignores her*: “Can we get pizza tonight? AND cake?”

Cory: “My smart cookie can get anything she wants!”

Jolene: *snort*

Meanwhile, Ike slinks quietly into the trailer, ignoring everybody.

I’m sorry, kiddo, I don’t think life is likely to get much better for you anytime soon. :/

Trailer Park Challenge pt. 22

I did give Ike one cheaty command because everyone else was busy - to greet Eika, a stray who kept roving around. After all, the trailer needs at least two guard dogs. 

Not long after, Eika became part of the family!

Trailer Park Challenge pt. 16

Do you know what I’ve been neglecting? My Trailer Park Challenge! So, having finished decorating a really fancy mansion for the Tricous, I felt in the mood for something completely different: catching up with Daisy Mae and her family!

Not to mention I am really behind in posting these, and at this rate I won’t be able to post my heir poll before they grow up.

Quick recap: Daisy Mae finally gave in to her longstanding attraction to Lindsay, which made her feel conflicted and guilty, Jolene was born while her older siblings Misty and Ike grew up,  and the Fullers adopted Moody, the most persistent cat in the world.

So, what’s new at the Fuller household? For the moment, things are downright peaceful.

Boo makes friends with the mail carrier...

...while Daisy Mae gets promoted to Fast Food Shift Manager, the first Fuller ever to hold the title of “Manager.” Unfortunately, what it really means is that she now has to deal with endless complaints levelled at her by entitled customers, and if an employee doesn’t do their job well, it’s Daisy’s neck on the line.

Still, it sounds good, right?

Ike at least couldn’t be prouder of his mamma!

Unfortunately, all that is about to change.

Trailer Park Challenge pt. 36

Cory: “You...and her?! Your so-called “best friend”?! How long has this been going on?! ANSWER ME!”

Daisy Mae: “Cory, baby, let me expl- OWWW!”

Lindsay: “You asshole! You don’t deserve her! All you’ve ever done was mooch off her and knock her up! I’m the one who truly loves her and I’m glad it’s finally out in the open!”

Ike: *CHUG CHUG CHUG*

If looks could kill...

Lindsay: “Get over it, boy.”

And just like that, this birthday party went from Good Time to Horrible. I guess being caught cheating by your whole family has that effect.

Trailer Park Challenge pt. 39

This update is dedicated to birthdays, because several Fullers had one!

First off, Bonnie and Clyde left diapers and bottles behind forever, which I’m sure came as a huge relief to everyone; for the first time, there would be no toddlers crawling around the trailer! Well, for the moment, anyway.

The twins are quite similar, but they’re not identical; the eyes are different, and so are their mouths (possibly the noses too?) 

Secondly, Jolene became a teen and felt rather conflicted about it: she was glad to no longer be a kid, but would being older help her escape Misty’s shadow or just cement her status as the Ignored Middle Child? 

She rolled the Family aspiration, so she still has a chance to become heir!

It turned out that Boo is no longer the youngest either. Aw, bless.

And lastly, Ike became an adult, which meant he had to say goodbye to his parents and siblings and strike out on his own. He’s a smart kid, I’m sure he’ll do fine (and we’ll be catching up with him later on.)
