World of Warcraft Extinction

I started playing WoW in Wrath of the Lich King, and actually took my Druid through Classic Silthius, as part of her Cenerion Circle rep grind.  I didn’t do the world PvP stuff (that had died down by WotLK), but I stayed at the one town in the zone, explored the Zerg hives (you can’t tell me the Silithids aren’t no-name Zerg.  Don’t know why Blizz won’t just say so -- it’s not like they don’t own Starcraft too), did the quests, everything.  It might not have been the most popular of zones, but it was there.  

Then it wasn’t.

Nothing is left.  And Blizzard themselves didn’t even touch on what happened to all the people - from both factions - and creatures in the zone.  Sure you can talk to the Bronze Dragon and go to “Old School Silithius”, or play through again in Classic WoW, but still ...

For such a disaster, it sure didn’t get much attention.  Nope, the in-game characters were more concerned with hoovering up the friggin’ blood of the planet (anyone who’s played FF7 knows that’s a bad idea) than the fact there’s a giant sword sticking out of said planet, and a whole zone’s worth of people just died!

So yeah, good for Youtuber IKedit, for bringing this ignored issue to light.  As well as this remarkable video, they’ve done some awesome remasters of the cinematics for pre-Cataclysm raids as well!
