Yes they would. They would go "HAAAAAA?!" at each other repeatedly and almost strangle each other before someone thinks to separate them.

Incidentally, Hiroki Aiba (Ryuunosuke) and Renn Kiriyama (Shoutaro) actually go way back, before they were both in toku. Both were in the Prince of Tennis musicals (along with a laundry list of other toku stars, but they were in the cast together at one point) and they starred in a series as staff of a butler cafe called Cafe Daikanyama. I only saw a clip of it but it was a hilarious scene of Hiroki Aiba dramatically coming out of a back room and dancing to some latin music while Renn or someone else played the guitar. It's been years seen I've seen it but I still remember it fondly because it was fucking hilarious
