What’s your opinion on kakashi? Like is he a good teacher to team seven and his repressed trauma(his father’s suicide and the death of his teammates)? Also should he have told Naruto about his parents identity after his training trip with Jiraiya bcz by then Naruto was already mature enough to understand everything
Honestly I think Kakashi's reputation as a teacher is a controversial enough topic that I wouldn't even touch discussions of it with a ten foot pole lol
And as to the topic of him revealing Naruto's parentage, imo Jiraiya (who is Naruto's mentor and his godfather) had more rights to it than Kakashi did. I don't see why Kakashi would discuss it if Jiraiya didn't either. And I think both were loyal enough to the Third Hokage that they didn't think of violating his laws around Naruto's heritage.
And about him repressing his trauma... well, I think outside of his students, he doesn't really bother to hide it at all. He doesn't really have healthy coping mechanisms (eg spending hours on end at the memorial, copying Obito's habits like lying about why he's late). He's just really good at compartmentalizing when he's on the job, and his students don't have any genuine curiosity about his life outside of being their teacher, which is why they don't appear to be aware of just how much baggage he had.
Idk, maybe it was just obvious to me that he was really traumatized, even though it was more or less subtext until Kakashi Gaiden and subsequent arcs revealed just how fucked up it got for him.
