This might feel like a really dumb and obvious thing in hindsight but like... Aren't fae known to be weak to steel or something of the sort? And wasn't Maleficent defeated by a sword in the end? 💡 ..... d'ysee where I'm going with this?
Jude is known for canonically getting stabbed (like several times a week)... "hoards" his earnings (akin dragonic tendencies), has a company named Raven, a sleep-related ability, and has mister Briar thorns himself nearby... Like damn, I just love how "devil is in the details" they get with these things sometimes. When it isn't just the obvious, but things that keep coming to light down the line.
(This was ironically brought about while I was thinking about fairy-type Pokemon and how they match up against dragon and steel-types respectively. Then went "now wait a damn minute..." hahahaha)
I have a feeling Victor and his cards/magic might be more of a "throwaway" thing like how Gilbert is good at it (to entertain kids I think?) .... but him being close pals with Will—the Queen of Hearts—known for the card soldiers... and often doing magic tricks with decks of cards... potentially a nice touch, if intentional.
