when her manager had alerted her of an unexpected meeting with higher ups in the company, eunah hadn’t been pleased. it wasn’t as if she didn’t respect those who kept the company running, but those few hours had been reserved for catching up on her crime dramas and possibly inviting someone over to join her –– instead, she found herself spinning in a rather creaky office chair beside a long wooden table. her manager only watched the rather juvenile activities of the actress with amusement, having grown used to her antics, and saying nothing.
they had come to the meeting early, and eunah had been expecting some kind of scolding ( for her latest scandal perhaps ) or at least some kind of hint as to why she had been forced to spent time in the mundane atmosphere. rather than either of those, her manager had ( unconvincingly ) claimed not to know any of the matters that were to be discussed that day.
the situation only grew more confusing upon the entry of jaewon, her attention redirected from her manager to the tall ( attractive ) man entering the conference room. in seconds, her entire aura changed, the girl turning on her charm as she looked upon him. she could hear the scoff of her manager behind her.
“ah, oppa ! i haven’t seen you in so long!”
it was exactly like eunah to skip ‘sunbae’ entirely and move directly onto ‘oppa’, the girl rarely having called an older man ‘sunbae’ once in her career –– it was much easier to move into an intimate relationship with someone if she began with such a name, she’d found that to be true through her time in the entertainment industry.
their conversation flows easily, words laced with double meanings that brought a flush to the interns situated in the far corner of the room.
that was the day she had discovered her newest role: to act as jaewon’s girlfriend.
eunah didn’t date, that was one thing she prided herself on –– relationships weren’t her thing, the vulnerability that came along with such a thing something that almost made her feel nauseous. opening up to someone like that was unthinkable. thankfully, this new relationship was to only exist in front of the cameras, though she figured they’d have to keep up the act whenever there were people around so there were to be no rumors of it being a lie.
the reasoning for this faux relationship?
well, the higher ups in the company had grown tired of the pairs constant rumors in the press and had only found it natural to pair crystal media’s two biggest flirts together. this new pairing would allow the company to shoot down any rumors ( no matter how true they may be ) with the reasoning that they were dating one another, while also allowing the pair to work on their acting skills. truly a perfect solution.
eunah, though against the idea of being tied down, had found the idea entertaining. not only was she to fool the entire country of korea, but she was expected by the company to use the skills that usually got her in trouble for their benefit. it was comical, truly. she wondered how her parents would react.
turning from the old men sitting before her to the unbelievably gorgeous man besides her, she’ll offer the other a soft smirk before tossing her hair over her shoulder. what a character !
“you are SO lucky that your new girlfriend is so cute. can you imagine if you’d been partnered with one of those other actresses?”
and so began their rather odd relationship. she thought she would hate it more than she did, the planned dates and unplanned ad-lib enjoyable for the young actress. not only did it give her a sense of normalcy in her otherwise tumultuous life, but it gave her a cover when she’d been exposed for yet another man in her life.
