Ikkaku's eyes went wide and sparkled with wonder and excitement as she spied the vessel at the docks. The raft was small and sleek, clearly meant for one person, but most notable was that it had one of the most peculiar engine she'd ever seen. Oh, how she wanted to take a closer look and figure out how it worked. Glancing around, she spotted a man in a cowboy hat nearby. The owner? She hoped so, because she had so many questions.
Running over, eyes still bright with intrigue and eagerness, Ikkaku pointed to the raft and said, "Is she yours? She's beautiful! I've never seen an engine like that! How fast does she go? Did you build her? What's her name?!"
As Ace was settling into his boat and making an inventory, a small yell of excitement reached his ears, making the cowboy turn around.
At first, he watched to see what the person would do, and he was on guard and ready to attack the person. But seeing the woman's bright, cheerful question, Ace's scowl turned into a grin, his eyes sparkling with glee.
"Yep! And thank you!" he proudly stated. "I and a friend did!" he said, hopping off the boat and onto the shores.
"Portgas D Ace!" He said, holding his hand. "this is my beautiful ship, the Striker!" He proclaimed, smiling at Ikkaku.
"what's yours?" He asked, his voice low but excitement littering in it.
"You wanna see it?" Ace asked, his eyes sparkling glee as if he were a movie star. "I can show you how it works and how the locomotives operate!"
