//i made this so you don’t have to go through and read all of DRKK just to move on to the DR2 stuff, just post this whenever you’re ready for another story arc and everyone’s mostly together
“Mr. Naegi! Come quick, you have to see this!!”
“Ishimaru, sir, there’s something airing on the internet that requires your immediate attention!”
The two leaders of Division 14 were dragged to the debriefing room by their peers and as they walked they saw groups of Future Foundation members crammed into media rooms, lounges, just about anywhere that had a large screen. While being rushed to their impromptu meeting, they tripped over some members who were laying about in the halls grasping their tablets with white knuckles. What was going on here…?
The twosome finally made it to the debriefing room where it looked like just about everyone available was seated, even Touko was phoning in via some video conference center she and Komaru found in Towa, although the signal was pretty fuzzy. On the center monitor that had everyone’s undivided attention was a screen with a livestream’s preshow playing. Just as Naegi and Ishimaru got seated, a voice started to speak on the stream.
Almost instinctually, everyone seemed to let out a sigh that it wasn’t the voice of Monokuma or Junko Enoshima. However, confusion seemed to form on many of the face of many of those present. If this meeting wasn’t about SHSL Despair, then why had so many insisted they pay attention to this livestream. Almost as if in response, a man appeared on screen.
Killer Killer was a famous serial killer of serial killers known for their unbelievable skill in murder as well and their enjoyment of fancy parchments. If someone like this was coming out of the woodwork on their own terms, it rarely meant anything good. Still, the stream continued.
Over the video conference, Touko could be seen fainting as Komaru rushed to catch her before she hit the floor. Outside, some of the more lighthearted Future Foundation members could be heard screaming and panicking. But in the conference room, everyone’s eyes were still glued to Killer Killer’s “presentation” in horror.
Suddenly all the sounds of screaming and panicking stopped and the only noise left was Killer Killer’s voice reverberating off the walls as the video was played throughout the building.
Immediately after this announcement the sound of panic and screams returned. From the weapons deposit, people could be heard screaming and fighting and the noises of weapons discharging eventually overtook even that. Some of the more physically inclined members present in the Debriefing Room managed to shake off their shock and rushed toward the weapons deposit only to return soon after with an injured Future Foundation member.
“S-some of our fellow members rushed in and stole weapons from the deposit me and some others tried to stop them but they overpowered us. I d-don’t think anyone’s dead but we’ve got some injured.”
The agent then passed out.
Immediately, Mana barged into the room with an extremely stressed and worried face uncharacteristic of her (๑Д๑).
“We’re so fucked you guys. We are so fucking fucked and more importantly I’m fucking fucked. There are some Future Foundation agents from Division 6 and 8 here and I had to let them in. I ran up ahead of them but they’re… literally here right now.”
The foreign agents stepped into the room and absorbed all the presence from it.
“Mukuro Ikusaba, you’re wanted for questioning in the mass murder at Division 8’s headquarters where the majority of security personnel were brutally ripped apart with a blade,” One of the agents flashed a phone with a slideshow of images that followed.
“There were captured by a surveillance camera before their feed went out. Shortly after the heads of the Divisions 6, 8, and 9 arrived to find the scene and two other agents from Division 6, but given what’s on your monitors, I’m sure you’re all very aware of the situation already. We are aware that Mukuro Ikusaba was recently diagnosed with a despair-related illness so her level of control in this possible involvement is also a factor, however our findings based on our questioning may lead up into a full-scale investigation of the Division. Is everything clear and does Ms. Ikusaba have permission to be dismissed into our custody or is force necessary?”
!!!! Bombs?! And we only have a day to stop them from blowing up the entire country?!
Make immediate preparations to locate them and diffuse each one! Waste no time! The lives of people are at stake here!
Wait, Taka, what about that Killer Killer guy’s claim about the collar. Obviously, we’re not gonna let Asano-san get killed just to defuse all the bombs at once, but…
If we can’t diffuse the bombs ourselves, then ensure a mass evacuation! Either way, I refuse to let one of ours get killed even for something like this!
That’s also true, but we need to find a way to make sure we don’t get blown up too! And we gotta act fast, or it’s definitely all over for us!
*seeing the slideshow* !!!! What?! I wasn’t anywhere near Division 8! It’s impossible for me to have done any of that!
Look, I can see very clearly why you’d get to that conclusion, but I’m telling you it wasn’t me! There isn’t any need to use force if you wanna interrogate me; I’ll just wind up repeating myself when I get there.
*also seeing the slideshow and listening in* Wait a minute, she’s right! Mukuro couldn’t have done any of that! And her Despair Flu has been long gone!
Yeah, that’s also right. There’s gotta be another explanation for that! Ikusaba-san’s been only in Division 4 and this one the whole time, so she couldn’t have cut down all the Division 8 personnel.
Look, guys, don’t worry about this. I can give them my honest alibi with proof that I wasn’t anywhere near the 8th Division. You two just focus on the real issue at hand with the bombs in the city.
We know that, but– *Mukuro puts an assuring hand on his shoulder*
I’ll live. This isn’t even the first time I’ve been nearly prosecuted for something like this. You and Naegi-kun think of a plan to stop the bombs while I handle my own mess. I wish you both the best of luck.
And you’re sure, Ikusaba-san? If you can’t prove anything, they’ll definitely take you into more into custody.
I’m more than sure. Save a little hope for yourself, Naegi-kun. *rubs Naegi and Ishimaru’s heads briefly and gently* I can clear this up, I swear.
We both trust you. Best of luck, Mukuro! Naegi-kun, let’s get going! We only have so much time to stop this!
Right. Ikusaba-san, hang in there! *leaves with Ishimaru*
(I obviously didn’t do any of that on the slideshow, so… who was that fake Mukuro exactly? And who really killed all of those Division 8 members?!)
