Dear ______,

There you were parading throughout the crowd with a face full of tears. You know, most people smile in moments like this. Seeing you so engulfed in emotion from the results sent a shiver up my spine. Everything we had been working on resulted in a win. It wasn’t just a win for Haru, Rin, Sousuke or me, no it was a win for everyone who cheered for us. You included.

I know in the past I believed I was alone. You could even say I was reckless with myself. Never giving myself any time to rest I swam and swam till I mastered everything. I wanted nothing more than to be the best and form my own unique swimming pattern like Haru did. However, I dove down deep to see how I wasn’t Haru, I was myself. It took me so long to realize this. I was in my own bubble drowning thinking I had no one to hold onto, but that wasn’t true. I can feel that now. It’s all in the past anyway. I just wanted to tell you how far I’ve come since then.

The thing is I thought once I woke up from that dream I would be set. I figured no other worries would flow into my mind till I encountered you. Our relationship carries such a special place in my heart that I used to worry about messing it up. Thinking things like if I was enough or if I wasn’t there for you made me doubt myself. Yet, those thoughts soon left me as you washed each worry away. You’ve always been great at getting your thoughts across to me. I shouldn’t be surprised seeing as you’re more outspoken than me. __________, now I’m more open about my thoughts to you. I learned from your actions on how to maintain a good relationship after all. I don’t think I could have asked for a better partner than you.

____________ I found you and it’s like a calm ocean has welcomed me home. I can’t think of any better way to say this other than that. I wish I could describe this feeling better, but I can’t. All I know is I love you and through our time together I find myself being grateful for you. I know you love me; you tell me each day. Still, I just don’t think I can get enough of your love. I’m selfish, I know, but I crave more each time. I want to see more of your smiles, more of your laughter. I want more of you. I’ve truly fallen in deep for you.

After the events of my most recent race I’ve been thinking, how about we take a little trip together. I did say I wanted more of you, didn’t I? Or maybe we should stay at home and rest for a few days at our apartment? Whichever one you pick I would be happy with. __________ I’m going to make up for all the lost time we had.
