I was really saddened to see that Arin is leaving the band, I actually didn't find out until this evening, but regardless, I respect their decision even if it makes me upset. To be perfectly honest, I truly believe that without Arin, Avenged Sevenfold probably wouldn't be around right now. He helped them through some really dark times and kept them moving forward with their careers, even when they lost one of their best friends in the world. I can't even begin to imagine the pain that they must have been going through, and they even said it themselves that it was hard finding a new drummer to fill in for Jimmy. A lot of people gave Arin shit for being the new drummer and continuing on where Jimmy left off, and that wasn't fair to do at all whatsoever. True, he had some big shoes to fill in, but I think he did a pretty damn good job in doing so. The past four years have been hard, but Arin definitely helped to stop the bleeding and got not only the guys through a tough time, but also the fans. I will be forever grateful for Arin and wish him the best of luck in the future and whatever it may hold in store for him. I'm also eager to see how the future will unfold for Avenged Sevenfold and I look forward to hearing & seeing new things from them. I know that eventually, they will find a new drummer. They just need some time. But in the meantime, I'm just glad that Arin was able to spend as much time as he did in the band and in my eyes, he will always be a part of the Avenged Sevenfold family.
