ilenn replied to your post:can somebody tell me what this “fic dump day” is...
people post “orphaned” WIPs they’re never going to pick up again & feel comfortable with someone possibly picking up, so that someone else may have a shot at continuing them
hmmmm now comes the part where I try to decide if there are fics that I am realistically willing to accept will never be finished. XD there are some things on my computer that I've been working on for two or three years in fandoms I'm no longer really in and I'm still like... "but what if I finish them at some point"
The Wrecking Crew – an abysmal name, really – was attacking Minneapolis. Privately, Loki thought that Minneapolis might deserve it, but apparently the Avengers disagreed. He settled into his couch with a blanket and a mug of hot cocoa to watch the show as soon as he heard.
His eyes flashed almost immediately to the red cape and flashing lightning. So Thor was there, this time, Loki thought. Not on Asgard, it would seem. Doing his part for the Midgardians. Loki stretched his legs out across the couch and watched Iron Man go flying as one of the attackers hit him with a massive flail. Loki lifted his mug in a long distance toast, unable to keep himself from smirking a little. The newscaster was going on about the origins of this latest supervillain menace, commenting now and again on the maneuvers of either side.
Loki’s eyes flicked to the others, but they stayed on Thor. He hadn’t seen him closer than this since…
He looked splendid, of course. Far greater than the mortals he chose to surround himself with – though, it occurred to Loki, perhaps that was the point. Perhaps that was why Thor had let go of him; he had others to take that role, now, of enhancing his greatness by living in his shadow. He wondered if the mortals were aware of it.

omfg this sounds awesome and now I want it too
yeess it's really easy and tastes great, try it for your next meal!!
Olive oil
2 Garlic cloves
Fresh white mushrooms
Bacon
Oregano
Salt
Pepper
Cheese (for gratin)
Cilantro
Cut the stalks off the mushrooms, leaving just the "hollow" caps. Dice the stalks and reserve. Dice the garlic cloves too. And the bacon.
Then, in a pan, put some olive oil in there (try to get it deep enough so you can sort of "submerge" a bit of the mushroom caps in it. Then, in a low heat, put the garlic in there, then add the diced mushroom stalks, the bacon, leave it for juuust a bit, and then put the mushroom caps in there top down. Season the whole sauce with salt, pepper, and oregano, at your taste. Let them cook, takes like 10min in low heat I think.
Rectify the seasoning. When it's cooked, take a glass recipient that can go in your oven, move the mushroom caps there, and sort of try to fill them with the sauce, the bacon and stuff. Don't throw any of the olive oil out, just put it all on the recipient. Put some grated cheese over the mushrooms and put them in the oven until the cheese has melted! Then, when it's out, you can add some diced cilantro on top, it tastes good too. Serve it with toasted bread, the sauce tastes really awesome on the bread :D
This was what I did xD pretty simple, but for a newb it may be something good to try out.

ilenn
20km o_O That sounds like a lot, no? Enjoy! :D
It as kind of a lot, especially because I hardly ever exercise, but I think I'm naturally fit or something. And it took longer than I thought because I wandered around taking photos for a while. But it was nice :)
1 - favourite piece you wrote.. for the WoT fandom! (Yeah I know, sorry to be *that guy* who keeps bringing up a decade old fics. xD)
Don't feel bad! I kind of love that you are still following me after a decade and despite the fact that I left Wheel of Time fandom a while back (although I will always have a special place in my heart for both the series and the fandom).
Favorite fic for it...I'd probably nominate Mr. Perfect and the Dragon Reborn although I am also fond of The Middle of the Night partly because Rand/Min! My first OTP.
Lord rereading these is weird. Rereading the summaries is even worse, though.
