A backstory npc and a specialest boy!
Ilharess "Illy" Zolaed (he/him), graviturgist wizard, technically a noble, has died twice now it's fine he's consecuted he gets better
Illy was on his second life when he joined the Dynasty's military and ended up partnered with a half-orc echo knight. They hit it off extremely well and did work together for some five years or so as border guards in the mountains.
Vic considered Illy the smartest person he knew (which, tbf, was probably accurate at the time) and absolutely his best friend. He was also definitely in love with the stupid drow and didn't realize it until multiple years after Illy was killed. Lots of trauma there, only slightly negated by the fact that Vic did manage to get him close enough to a beacon for Illy's consecution to take.
Later had the fun time learning that the Zolaed family uhhhhhh Sucks and kind of pushed this kid to join the military (it wasn't a hard sell, granted) because he was bad at politics and they wanted him out of the way. The fact that he was killed in the process was kind of a pleasant surprise. There will be words about that at some point.
Ilharess is stubborn, a little arrogant, and dedicated to a fault. He's very particular about his hair and he loves his country and his magic and also maybe his extremely oblivious partner, there was never specific confirmation there
Also he's coming back for his third life as a goblin which is extremely funny to me, the short jokes will be endless
