“Sorry you had to see me like this.” Clay whined as he hugged the bucket close to his chest, his thick dark hair clung to his clammy forehead as fever took him. He really wasn’t feeling to great right now and he’d pretty much emptied his lunch into the container.
/This really sucks/
[illness meme] Nikolette had been searching for hours for him and nobody seemed to want to help her. Though, she felt him more than she saw him. The bond yhey had was something different than the others and when she came upon the darkened alley and her brother's body slumped in it, Kol would be lying if she said she didn't panic. "Elijah.." She breathed and rushed to his side and knelt down to pick him up. "Come on, love, let me get you home." She said despite the protests.
Elijah had tried to get up a few times -- the fast spreading poison had attacked his nervous system and his muscles simultaneously, making him collapse in a heap of trashcans, making a lot of noise. He crumpled against the wall and felt the world starting to spin -- his rapid healing wasn't working and his limps felt heavy; useless. The witches had to have done something to him, werewolf venom and vervain mixed together with a potent magic. Elijah's body was not his own and he couldn't move on his own accord. His muscles had started to seize and were twitching as though fighting for movement.
He heard her voice and turned his head to look up at her. "Kol, please, don't -- " and she moved to pick him up as though he weight nothing. His hands were shaking at his waist, where he'd left them when they stopped working. Elijah was unable to move or lift them.
When Elena found a deathly ill Elijah in an alleyway she wondered what could make an Original vampire so sick. Nothing. Which meant he must not be an original vampire anymore. When she tried to help him he refused it. So she picked him up instead which felt oddly strange trying to carry a former Original vampire. And probably did look ridiculous carrying a grown man. She didn't care. "You men are so stubborn" she said as she started to walk. "Sorry I'm helping you whether you like it or not."
Elijah made a sound of irritation when she picked him up, but he wasn't strong enough to argue with her. "Let me go," he murmured weakly, so tired that he rested his head against her shoulder. "I'm tired, Elena, let me go." The words held so much weight and so many meanings.
"For a original you're pretty stupid. If you just let me help you..." Lee sat down near Elijah, for a minute not caring about matters. (tuus-perdite-sodalis-amans)
Elijah shook his head and waved a hand. "No -- no -- I'm ready to die. Leave me alone."
