I find it rude how most people who roleplay literate want the other people to roleplay their way. Jeez. Maybe you can do it in both ways. I normally roleplay Illiterate because I’m not good at english myself and I’m not good at explaining stuff. Not many people can do that too. I would love to roleplay with someone who would accept that I roleplay a different way and still they would roleplay in their way on their side, and I would roleplay with my way on my part. It’s not fair. They probably don’t know what semi literate means too. So, don’t force them to be illiterate or literate please.
