🍊 What is your OC’s favourite meal? Snack? Dessert? Drink? Any reasons behind this besides liking how it tastes?

Meal: Sushi! He’s always had a fondness for seafood what with growing up in La Noscea, but in coming to Hingashi and experiencing a completely new way to have it, Saerno instantly fell in love. 

Snack: La Noscean Oranges, primarily ones from his family’s farms. So many of his early days were spent poring over his father’s tomes in the estate’s library, all while munching on a bowl of those juicy oranges! He supposes it’s a bit of nostalgia fueling his love for the fruit, but at the same time, who is he to argue about what he enjoys?

Dessert: Rolanberry Cheesecake. Saerno’s love of this dessert knows no bounds, often coming to judge an entire bakery’s worth solely off their creation of this treat. It must be dense, but not overly thick. It must be sweet, but with that hint of something else in the crust. The rolanberries must be fresh, though a case can be made for preserves. If you wish to gift him with one, you BEST do your research beforehand.

Drink: His Mother’s Lemonade. Oddly enough, Saerno isn’t exactly the biggest fan of alcohol, and instead prefers fruit juices in its stead. Though, all other drinks pale in comparison to his mother’s fresh lemonade. Another case of nostalgia, yes, but nothing beats a fresh glass of freshly squeezed goodness after a long day at school! 

Meal: Peking Duck (or whatever the FF equivalent would be)! While not exactly poor, Luo Qiang’s days in a remote mountain village made meals such as peking duck quite few and far between due to a lack of ingredients. However, the times he did have it, the farmer boy was on cloud nine. Crispy skin and succulent meat paired with freshly steamed buns and sauce? Uwah... He could die peacefully.

Snack: Char siu bao. Again a once in awhile meal, but one that Luo Qiang would devour in near seconds. Freshly made and still hot, these bao could effectively warm the body no matter what, not to mention that the pork inside was the perfect savory touch to fill you up! Luo Qiang would often save a few of these buns for a particularly cold evening and warm them up over a fire.

Dessert: Dango. He didn’t grow up on the Hingashi snack, but in coming to Kugane, he quickly formed an attachment to the treat. Soft, sweet, and most of all affordable, Whatever money Luo Qiang would have leftover after paying for both food and rent would be spent on these skewers. If only he had just a bit more gil, then he could definitely but like... 2 skewers! Oh how good that would be!

Drink: Baiju. Despite his youth, Luo Qiang loves to drink, especially in celebration! Goes down harsh, but fills you with a giddy warmth that’s hardly matched by anything else. And who doesn’t like to drink and be merry? absolutely preposterous.

📝: Clarity of intention. We have limited time to rp, I think it pays to be clear about what you want out of that time. Sure, it might take a few scenes of the characters interacting to figure out what it is you do want, but don’t dive down into a ship of any kind unless you can agree on it ooc. Maybe you agree that it’s one sided, or toxic, or plan for a slow burn, or both want to just jump right in, but that needs to be made apparent. And, especially, if personal future plot plans or backstories for a characters might effect others heavily, make sure you’re up front about it. Don’t wait a month and drop a ‘Oh yeah that thing your character did in their backstory caused [redacted for TW] to my character and you have no say in that’ or any other things that might trigger or squick people.

((also from @entry-1258)) 🔍: Mmm, I don’t actively look for terribly much, I follow if I like the character or the content produced. I’m just as likely to follow a blog full of shitposts as I am an artist, or a writer. The only thing I shy away from are an over abundance of political or social posts. It’s not that I don’t care, I do, but I have to try and protect my mental state as best I can, or I won’t be able to do a single damn thing, and I don’t wanna toss myself down that hole again after trying to drag myself out of it for the past few months.

250 Headcanons - Orpheux Boucher

[ 7 / 25! This might be my last for the day (maybe), @illia-ast​! ]

1. Orpheux is a pyromaniac, and much to both his brother’s and Mylia’s dismay, has almost set their apartment on fire on multiple accounts. 

2. As mentioned in a fact-swap, Orpheux enjoys domestic activities next to committing crimes. He bakes (his favorites to make are muffins and bagels), and sews. Which really comes in handy, as his brother can do neither.

3. He is a very loud person. In actions, voice, and words; he does his best to just… take up as much space as possible. He also carries a very smug attitude, regardless of how much trouble he might get in for it; or how afraid he might be in a situation.

4. Daylight? Not a problem to him. He likes the attention, bad or good, and if that means stabbing a Templar in front of their buddies, he most definitely will. He can be stealthy if he wishes to be, but he rarely ever does.

5. When he is not out Committing Crimes™, he likes to spend his time window shopping. He gets a lot of creative ideas from peering over other peoples’ works. 

6. He also enjoys singing and can be found wandering about humming to himself. If he sings aloud, his voice is usually very soft and melancholic - a large contrast to the personality he boasts.

7. Despite his brother being married to her, Orpheux has known Mylia for a few years longer than him.

8. Mint is his favorite flavor of anything; and unlike his brother, really enjoys tea. So he combines the two at the end of the day. He also enjoys chocolate, so what’s better than hot chocolate? Hot chocolate with mint.

9. He’s terrified of spiders. His brother uses this as leverage.

10. He may be the loudest and most obnoxious of the two, but he also has the biggest heart. Unlike Sabeloux, Orpheux grows to genuinely care about people once he starts to know them better. He saved his brother’s life knowing that if it were the other way around, the same would not have happened to him.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ ! :D

⭐️ Since Illia was raised in the Black Shroud I can see her knowing Una’to from his days in the Continental Circus. Generally when it came to the All Saints Wake show he wasn’t allowed to do much else besides dress up and act as advertising for the show in Gridania, but sill.

⭐️ If Una’to ever needs help from a local to really learn the lay of Dravania while he’s staying in the library it seems like chances are he would end up getting help from Lucienne. I can’t see them getting along though. Una’to isn’t fond of chocobo’s at all due to his past of motion sickness with them. The smell they give is enough to make him feel a little ill, even after his fall.

⭐️ Rhiannon and Una’to hunting for secrets and knowledge into things that just so happen to also get them into trouble seems likely to me. I’d like to think that they end up sharing a lot about the places their from.

For each “⭐️” I get, I’ll write a headcanon about our muses.

Sonja managed to find someone who specialized in mammets by chance when Meddy started acting up. Gears catching, clicking, repeating his words, acting as air-headed as his owner. But now he was repaired, better than ever, and he’d taken Ellie out drinking as a thanks. And perhaps they’d overindulged on one too many glasses of fine thavnarian red. Oh well.

“My house is close and I promise to do nothing unruly!” He’d declared, as if it needed to be declared, and halfdragged the hyur to his house-slash-workshop.

Various mechanical tinkerings, half done paintings and moasics, collages, unfinished scupltures, a mess.

He managed to kick books off of his cot enough to flop her down ont it and stood there, sweat beading on his forehead, but grinning. “Tah dah! And for my next trick,” and he waved his hands, shimmied his hips, and let the bells hanging off them ring, “you will wake up in the morning sober!”

Hunting, climbing, swimming, lazing on the beach, baking and cooking. He’s not artsy like his brother, so most of his hobbies are focused on ‘realistic’ things that create something or are useful.

Balqadar’s tail is stubbed -- as in he’s missing the end of it. It fell off, rotted away when his body couldn’t handle the void that he trapped in himself. The same is for the tips of his horns. He’s dyslexic and has trouble with Eorzean letters in general. Hingan he can sort out, though.

N) Favourite movie or music genre.

It would be action flicks and classic rock.

O) What’s their dream profession? 

He doesn’t have on really - he assumes he’ll be watching over his brother the rest of his life. He’s never had room for dreams.

P) Is there something or someone they cannot stand? Why?  

His mother, for reasons that have been explained before. Basically, she got abusive toward him, so he stopped interacting with her when he could avoid it.

Q) Did they do something extremely dangerous at some point in their life?

He has a voidsent trapped inside him -- but they’ve come to an agreement. Sort of. The voidsent is bound to his life so it’s in the voidsent’s interest to keep him alive and not take him over.

R) Is there something they wish they could do/achieve but can’t? 

Not really!

S)  Is there something in their life they regret? 

He doesn’t really have regrets!

T)  Do they have any siblings? Family? Loved ones?   

One twin brother, Busudar, and his father, Batugai. His boyfriend is @miqo-vynnie and he loves him a lot!

U)  Are they a morning or night person?

Morning more than night - he works hard during the day so gets a bit sleepy at night, but he’s always up before dawn!

V) Do they have a pet? What kind? If not, what kind of pet would they want?

No pets! But if he had one, he’d want something cute and cuddly.

W) How would they describe themselves in 5 or less words? 

An ordinary lad, half soul.

X) Do they have a goal in life? What is it? 

He’s still figuring it out. Ultimately he’s always been resigned to doing whatever it is his brother does. But now his brother is taking his own path, and he’s...left behind. He works to fill his hours, but he doesn’t have any goals. He doesn’t know where to start.

Y) Is there anything in their life that’s stopping them from succeeding?

Only himself!

His father gave him a sword, and it’s very dear to him.

 F) Favourite beverage and/or meal. Rum and any sort of meat suits him fancy! Though he has a sweet tooth and particularly likes creampuffs

G) Hobbies and favourite pastimes. He likes taking care of his animals, working on his bike, napping, and training with his apprentice, Note. 

H) Something they’re exceptionally good at.  he more blunt, gruesome answer is killing voidsent. After spending almost twenty years of his life dedicated to the art, he’s gotten pretty good at it! But where he truly shines is taking care of animals.

I) 2 things they really enjoy.  Food! And the smiles of his comrades. 

J) 2 things they’re not really fond of. Authority, specifically police-type authority, and slave owners

K) 1 of their pet peeves. When fellow Xaela call the Steppe “honorable” and only view each other’s worth through physical strength. He believes the Steppe is built on a broken system and needs to be reworked, which was his original goal within the Moks tribe.

L) Their favourite kind of weather. The rain. It soothes him.

M) A few interesting facts about them. He has (or had) a twin brother by the name of Thein. He can’t read well. He’s got an extra long tongue, and fangs. Despite his rugged appearance, he does enjoy some quality cuddle times.

N) Favourite movie or music genre. I’m not sure movies exist in this star, and if they do, Rook hasn’t seen one! But as far as music goes, he likes all kinds. He’ll likely always have a warm spot for Steppe folk music, but Doctor Corvossa, his adoptive-father, was into jazz.

O) What’s their dream profession?  When Rook ran away from the East, he originally met up with a runaway Garlean, and together they bonded over leaving their pasts behind and wanting to start something anew. This elderly Garlean had given him the name ‘Rook’ to begin with, as Rook mentioned he was not fond of his birth name, Nergui. They worked on airships together and that’s where Rook found a true passionate calling in his name. However, things didn’t end up so well for his Garlean Foster Dad...

 P) Is there something or someone they cannot stand? Why? When people choose to be subservient to an oppressive force. He cannot stand the idea of people giving up their freedom, especially willingly, and views it as a sign of weakness. He will go to any length to make sure he and everyone around him are free. 

Q) Did they do something extremely dangerous at some point in their life? The better question is has he ever done something that wasn’t dangerous? 

R) Is there something they wish they could do/achieve but can’t? Rook lowkey wants a kid one day, but his profession and lifestyle doesn’t mesh well with the idea. He just wants be as good of a father as Doctor Corvossa was to him, as his biological father is a real piece of work.

S)  Is there something in their life they regret? The lives he couldn’t save and some of the terrible things he’s done in the name of freedom and justice. But in his own words: I just keep moving forward. 

T)  Do they have any siblings? Family? Loved ones?  His brother, Thein, died protecting his lover’s village from a raiding tribe. As for family, his only family are the members of his Free Company.

 U)  Are they a morning or night person? Definitely a night person.

V) Do they have a pet? What kind? If not, what kind of pet would they want? A dog named Pascal, a yet-to-be-named Sheep from the Steppe, and a duck named Edward. 

W) How would they describe themselves in 5 or less words? Big, determined, passionate. 

X) Do they have a goal in life? What is it? To eliminate the Garleans and to protect everyone from their control, as well as guarantee freedom for all of his loved ones.
