I love your dedication to the idea of Love Surpassing All...no, honestly, I really do, this is not a Joke. I have a very very very High Tolerance for pain. How High you might ask, just to confirm? I walked myself, no assistance, into an ER with a double testicular torsion. I broke my Femur, snapped it clean through, compound fracture, and had coherent conversations with the first responders. This isn't about that level of injury however.
I had an occurrence in my life where two ribs were "Mildly" fractured. "Greenstick Fractures" as someone once put it. I spent an entire month sleeping in a Lazy Boy, mostly upright, because sleeping flat on my back was so painful it brought tears to my eyes. There was no way in hell I was going to sleep on my stomach. IF you write that your main character has suffered Rib Fractures, there is no way in hell that I am going to believe they participated in sex within the First couple of weeks. IF that/those fractures are due to a very hard object, and you could "Hear!" the cracks happen, there is no way in hell I am going to believe they are such a bad ass that they are going to enjoy any kind of sex where they are not upright and on top for at a Month Minimum.
It took me a Good Two Months before breathing wasn't such a painful chore without major painkillers. Those were "Light" Fractures at the point of flex, which I was told was the "Most Common point of fractures". These were the kind of fractures they appeared as jagged lines along the length of the rib, very similar to taking a stick pulled from a tree and bent until lines appeared and the point where that initial "Snap" is heard. Qualifications to such a statement: I heard my ribs "Snap" A decade later, I heard my Femur Snap. As part of my Physical Therapy, I was putting weight on said femur which had a Rod from Knee to Hip put in place. I also, re-fractured the ribs. I had an easier time putting weight on the completely snapped femur, than I did taking a breath. Snapped, Fractured Ribs sound Awesome in Fiction... But, to those of us who have experienced them, your story can end up in the "Did Not Finish" pile of Books....

And before I have a chance to blink again, September will hath arrived... I thank you, to all of you who have recognized my Hugs for the LGBTQIA+ community in July. the idea that it has been a very rough year isn't just limited to the US Political Regime, but, so much more to my own Physical and Mental health due to my Physical Health. I have never shied from this platform as proudly pronouncing myself as a very solid member of the LGBTQIA+ community. I have mixed Race Children who are also part of the LGBTQIA+ Community. It isn't an Agenda, if you consider Free Choice, with knowledge of all options to you as indoctrination, then I am not a person you want to have a debate with. I could fill up so many Gods Damned Posts about John 3:16 that all say the same thing, God Begot his Son, so that we would have our own Free Will. That Free Will means we can love who and whom ever it is we wish. We also understand, that in the Free Will we were given by such a Sacrifice, that our choice to bear children of our Lineage "Was Our Choice!" which means, if we so choose to parent the children of other people who were not able to raise the children they begot, then, that was a choice of our free will, and God would not look down on us, because he gave his Only Begotten Son so that we, as HIS children, would have free will. We understand that we may not lay in the order to Procreate, but, why, do we need to Procreate, when there are so many asking for us to be their Forever Parents, to Love and Hold to our hearts, to be the Children of our Dreams and Longing. To Love them with all of their Societal Faults, to work so hard to help them be confident in their place in this world, to support them as their Loving Caretakers, who have devoted our lives to their growth. I Believe in a God above, but, My God is so Tolerant, that he only Wishes His Children are Loved, Nurtured and Cherished, Allowed to Grow, and Be Free of their Mind to Choose Their Own Path. So Again, It may be August, but I give no care to which month it is, no care to the day of the week, IF YOU ASK ME FOR A HUG, A HUG OF LOVE, NO QUESTIONS ASKED, NO ANSWERS EXPECTED, I WILL GIVE YOU THAT HUG, AS A PARENT, A GUARDIAN, A GRANDPARENT AND A SURROGATE INFLUENCE. Silly FFXIV question of the day. Apparently it is possible to get portrait-orientated images from gpose, but I have looked at every setting and googled for videos and there is nothing that says how to do this?
You can do this in vanilla! You can rotate the camera on the general settings tab.
The only thing about this is it can be a bit tricky to adjust the camera after doing this. That's why the reshade filter is nice if you have access to it. If you do, you can just search for vertical preview and it will do this which helps you fine tune before you finish the shot!
You do not need ReShade. Though the vertical previewer and line up IS handy for those who can use it...which so far as I know does not extend to console users, or those who have difficulty using the shader overlays at all.

Use the "i" info button to see what your keybinds/controls are. You can adjust up-down-left-right that way. The keybinds will remain the same when you turn 90 degrees. So if you want to move your character to the left or right side in frame, use the up-down panning.
ALSO! When using 90 degrees, set the top camera to 200! Otherwise the fisheye lens action gets wonky.I was actually doing some demo images for some friends the other day. In the first image below, the top camera is at 100. The second image is the camera to 200 (with the menu in the second set).
Bringing the camera in to 200 also gets those really close in shots without having to push against a wall. A lot of these camera and light options are also available to a degree in the portrait frames for your jobs, and the principles are the same, if a little more restricted in the party frames.
Anyway it's entirely possible to make nice gpose portraits without ANY shaders, mods, or other extra tools, just the vanilla game. In fact, it's best to play with the vanilla gpose first, learn how the cameras, lighting, and effects work, before adding those bells and whistles on PC. Your screenshots will be better for it when you understand the fundamental tools and what they can do.

Reblogging for the poll but also what the fuck what the fuck why are the typefaces different I am genuinely distraught. It's not like they've even used the InCryptid typefaces by accident, this is a whole other thing and why is it inconsistent.
It's not inconsistent, it's a redesign because we changed publishers, hence the one-year gap in releases. The new publisher didn't have to let me keep the same cover artist: they did, thank the stars, but after they gave in on that, they needed to distinguish themselves somehow from the prior publisher's releases. So a new title font, in the same family, was the best compromise we could reach.
I fought for the old font, I truly did, but it was seen as dated by the graphic designers, and I only have so much power. But this is not inconsistent. It's new.

how would a guy who is correctly recognized as male in every aspect of his life, to the point he navigates the world identically to a cis man and cannot be recognized as trans by others unless he discloses it, not have privilege over women - cis or otherwise? is systemic misogyny just not real to you. are you somehow misunderstanding what "stealth" means. this is such a confusing assertion.
Well you said it yourself - "navigates the world identically to a cis man". Trans men do not do this, and cannot do this, by nature of being trans. There is always some aspect which separates the experiences of trans men with cis men, even if the trans men themselves are stealth.
For example, a trans man who has had all of the surgeries and all of the hormones and all the legal document changes still
1. Had to live a life experience before all of that happened, and unless they never interacted with anyone ever, there runs the risk of people from their past outing them.
2. In that same vein, can never talk about their foundational experiences growing up unless they heavily bend the truth or lie (or unless they transitioned at, like, 3 months old??)
3. Still had to go through the surgeries, which is accessing a medical system, which may or may not have discriminated against them for being trans (rather than privileging them for being a man)
4. Some countries, like mine for example, keep a record of your name change on your birth certificate, so even if I had all the legal and physical changes, having to provide proof of citizenship would immediately out me. In a similar vein, to prevent fraud, many government organisations ask if you have ever been known by any other names. This outs people immediately.
5. Again, with medical care, you would need to provide a list of your medical history to your practitioner, which would out you
6. Most trans guys that pass are still on testosterone, they do not stop it. This is another area where trans men may be discriminated against - for example right now in the US they are trying really fucking hard to ban HRT. Some insurance companies won't approve of prescriptions because of the nature of the prescription. This is not a privilege
Not all trans men who are stealth have had all or any surgeries (like myself). This means:
1. I can still get pregnant and need care for that, which outs me, and opens me up to discrimination cis men would never face
2. I have to piss sitting down, because I can't afford an STP + packing underwear. I know this isn't a huge deal bc I know some cis men pee sitting too, but if you're in an area where people are constantly transvestigated or just a transphobic area, this may cause problems.
3. I can't wear certain shirts or tops because my binder will show. I can't go swimming. Tell me how that's a privilege lmao
4. When accessing medical care, I put myself at serious risk for transphobic treatment and harassment to the point where it might even be life ending - people may not do their proper duty because I am trans, and therefore something important may be missed that could risk my life
5. There is very little research about trans men's bodies and how things interact with testosterone HRT and other such things. For example, the symptoms of a heart attack look different for cis women and cis men. What do they look like for trans men 8 years on HRT? Do you know? No, seriously, do you know? I need to know this. I have a history of heart failure in my family.
Like I won't deny that stealth trans men can recieve social benefits/privileges when people misread them as cis men. I should know, I pass pretty fucking well all things considered. It's really weird when people talk to me when a woman I'm with has asked a question. However that is not the same as real systemic privileges, because at almost every turn interacting with systems throughout our lives, we will be outed or open to discrimination.
On top of that, even though I am stealth, as soon as people find out I'm trans, that privilege disappears immediately.
I don't think it's a privelige to also never be able to talk about my childhood or my experiences as a trans person. I don't think it's a privelige to have to hide a part of myself and my identity for safety.
To put this another way, do you think bisexual people have straight privelige because they can date someone of a different gender and never talk about their queer identity? Or is that just being trapped into hiding who you are? Is that different for stealth trans men?

I see this post all the time and I'm so confused. Most people throughout history were busier than your average resident of a developed country is now. My primary reaction to reading about the past since I was a child has been "I'm glad I don't live then, I'm too weak for that, I could not do that much work all the time."
In the past things took longer to do but they often required a waiting period. You had to chop wood, put it in your stove, and light it, but it took a few hours for it to get hot enough for baking and then another hour for the bread to fully cook. History books will say things like "It took 4 hours to make a loaf of bread" but they don't mention that you only had to do actual work for a fraction of that time and the rest could be devoted to other tasks or relaxing for a while
Employee workload has doubled or tripled because of modern technology. It makes things faster but also creates less downtime which employers have filled with more responsibilities. You can do more work in a 10 minute period if all the files are on the computer but in the olden days you got to take a short walk to the filing cabinet and let your mind wander while you thumbed through folders, which means a modern 10 minutes of work is more mentally exhausting. The amount of work one employee has to do today used to be split between 2 or 3 people. We lost those moments of downtime we used to get by having to do things the slow way
One of my first corporate jobs: ((1989 $4.75 per hour)) Log in on Computer A, print list of incomplete files. Go downstairs to get the printout off the Double Wide Green Line Dot Matrix printer from room with sound deadening. Spend 10 mins separating the pages. Log in on Computer B, search for entries from the printout. Check various BOOKS for the missing data from the entries. This includes having to go to the various other rooms that contain said reference books. Total time: 8 hours which includes 30 min paid lunch and 2 x 15 min paid breaks.
Today (($7.25 per hour)): Log in, open file A, Import File B, Synch File C. total time, maybe 10 mins. Go on to do data entry on file C for the next 8 working hours that doesn't include an unpaid 30 min lunch but does include 2x10 min paid breaks. All while sitting at the same desk.
