@illimmite turns to Chapter 1;;
Milo wasn’t used to the appearance of islands. Especially this particular one.
But he loved it.
The moment he steps foot out onto the docks, he's greeted with warmth both from the weather, and the people. Not even ten yards away from the boat, and he was able to make conversation! And after, it was doubly fun when he got to explore for himself.
This island was full of vegetation and a culture he'd never seen before, and he was ecstatic that he got to see it for himself. The priest was a little self indulgent, taking a leaf or two from some of the plants and pressing them into his journal to poke around with later. He reaches a section of a town and considers taking a break from sniffing around for a bit-- until he sees a building in the distance that catches his eye.
Was that a CASTLE? Milo's eyes sparkle at the sight of such a grand place and any idea of a respite slips away from him as he leaps down the path. He wants to go there! He’s not sure how much he'll be allowed to see ( he doesn’t know all of the customs yet ) but it was worth a try!
The path up to the castle is easy to walk when it comes to navigating, and as he gets closer, he finds more people and more activity buzzing around than by the docks. He eventually reaches a beautiful plaza, with the castle easily within sight. Milo can’t stop the grin forming on his face as he surveys the area, snapping a mental photo of all the buildings in his mind, the people, and... the dancing.
Near the center of the plaza there’s a group of people singing and dancing. It didn’t seem rehearsed, more like a gathering based on whim, with children and adults alike. He doesn’t recognize the song, but the overjoyed feeling is infectious and gets him laughing. He wants to join, but he wouldn’t have any rhyme or reason to offer, so instead he watches from the side, reclining against a building so not all of his weight is trapped on his feet.
