Thanksgiving with Y/N with Yancy/Illinois Head cannons!

Holiday time!! Gotta get this one in for tomorrow 🍗

You invite Yancy and Illinois for thanksgiving! Something is bound to happen 😉

Yancy brings dessert, homegrown sweet potatoes coated with toasted marshmallows. He admits before prison he had a sweet tooth, and he also loves to bake.

Illinois brings Shepard’s Pie; a warm, hearty dish perfect for meat lovers while also providing a lil’ love for the soul.

Yancy helps in the kitchen with you and your parents; he had kitchen duty at the prison so he knows his way around the oven.

Illinois entertains the kiddos with tales of daring adventures. Even tells the one where he meet you. He does however get a little pouty over the fact you and Yancy are washing dishes side by side.

Your family enjoys both of them for company, however, since both of these ding dongs love being the center of attention there’s bound be some butting of heads.

Yancy cant stand how arrogant Illinois is, even though he admits the guy’s handsome and charming.

Illinois can’t stand Yancy‘s accent or how he tries too hard to prove himself, plus he’s ex-con (can you smell trust issues?), but he has to admire Yancy’s ability to capture an audience with his storytelling.

They fight for the wishbone. Get this; it snaps perfectly in half.

During Thanksgiving, your family can’t see the rivalry between the two, but you can see it in an instant.

Cue you kicking both of their shins underneath the table. You stand at the table, mentioning how have to use the restroom.

Passive aggressive eating

Yancy and Illinois watch as you leave, then catch each other eyes.

They know immediately to stop their rivalry for you. They made you upset. Plus, it’s Thanksgiving!

The rest of the evening go swell without any problems. Everyone shares laughs, food, the company of each other. End of the evening, Yancy and Illinois comes to terms with their feelings.
