I always like the idea of a group of online only friends who are in a chat together. Maybe one of them either comes on really late or misses a day all together. They come online to a chorus of "hey we missed you" and so they explain they weren't feeling well/was sick and the group totally jumps on the "Oh no, what's wrong?" route and start offering advice, comfort and whatnot. And the person is overwhelmed since they didn't think anyone would notice they weren't online.

It shows you don't need to physically be next to someone to be cared for.
