I've been rereading Somewhere I've Never Traveled and I'm just living for this instant connection Jon and Katooni have. And every story Jon and Jaster are together Jaster seems to have this "oh no, he is adorable" moment 😆

I'm curious how the Jedi are in this world. Do most assume nomadic like lives, like Jon does living as a bounty hunter. Or do they integrate themselves in society more throughout the galaxy? Hiding in plain site?

It largely depends on the Jedi in question, but the vast majority are nomadic and try to stay under the radar, since they do still try to wander around and help as many people as they can. Not staying in one spot also makes it easier to teach padawans, and not have to worry about accidental Force usage in front of other people.

For the send me a character, Mace Windu

First impression: I'll be honest, it's been so long I don't really remember it cause I first go into Star Wars when the first season of Clone Wars was airing and I was like 8 but the Jedi as a whole were my favorite and I thought he was cool.

Impression now: Definitely still think he's cool but he's also one of my favorite's because I think he's just really interesting as a character both as a council member and a General.

Favorite moment: Hm, I really like all scenes of him fighting droids because I think they're really well made but I can't think of a particular moment off the top of my head.

Idea for a story: Ohhhhhh I have many. Hm one of my favorites that I have is a time travel/vision/fix-it ish fic where Mace starts seeing more clear glimpses of the future through shatter points and starts actively working to attempt to prevent the future's he keeps dreaming/seeing from occuring.

Unpopular opinion: Hm. I don't know what counts as an unpopular opinion for him to be honest?

Favorite relationship: I don't have a real romantic ship but I'm a sucker for platonic Mace & Ponds. Honestly kinda a sucker for that with every Jedi and their commanders lmao but yes I really like the platonic connections between the General's and their commanders because in a way they can both see each other in ways other clones/jedi wouldn't

Favorite headcanon: Mace is actually one of those Jedi that though he seems kinda strict and aloof everyone knows they can go to him if they ever need any help. And that he spends a lot of time with his Lineage and has a really good relationship with Caleb

I just wanted to tell you that I just absolutely LOVE the way you draw Bruce. IDK what it is. Whether it is how tall and broad he is or that chin! Fantastic!

THANK YOU!! I took a lot of cues from BTAS and basically tried to make him look rock solid lmao. He’s got such a big presence, and I wanted the way I draw him to aid in that!

Okay. I said something along these lines before but I really thought I would be kind of sad most of the time waiting for Agen or Mace centric stuff to pop up in your other series/oneshots but then you get me to love Jon??? And Jaster?? Like. Excuse me. How dare you.

Good soul. I love and hate you. Which I'm sure you get a lot. I never thought I would suffer so many rare pairs and just rare individual characters from one person. Never have I thought I would adore Agen and never did I think Mace and Cody would be one of my ride or die pairings next to Codywan.

I think I've nearly read all of your Star Wars content. Though I'm sure I've missed many and that is only because I'm afraid of getting too attached to other characters and pairing a right now.

So thank you. For both making this year more bearable and for making me suffer in a good way. Also, thank you for this blog. It's been fun to see your personality more in the last few weeks. I don't ask or comment much but I wanted to be sure you knew at least once my gratitude. And my suffering haha.

lol You are definitely not alone. He was the only Mandalorian Jedi, and he created the Darksaber a thousand years before the Clone Wars.

Hello! I've been following your story on AO3 and adoring every minute. I think you'll be addressing this soon but when you mentioned how understanding the Force makes it easier to deceive it, is that how Palpatine is hiding in plain site as the chancellor? Because he is hiding from the Force?

It’s connected and I do plan to address that soon but I can give a little bit of an explanation here as well!

Essentially yes, because Palpatine is a Force user he has an understanding of the force that they wouldn’t expect of a random senator. The Force can’t technically lie, but you can use ti to omit or hide things if you know what your doing. When I described it in the last chapter with Cody it was a nebula, almost like a web every one and everything is visible to it and they all have their own layers and depths.

I’m going to do a cut here in case you don’t want to see the more in depth explanation as it’s kind of spoilers :)

 For those who don’t understand the Force their lies will be obvious to most force users as they’ll just be on the surface. For Force users who know what they’re doing there are different ways to hide what may give away their lies and also ways to support them if they know what to do. Mostly, Palpatine works through a level of misdirection more than outright lying. On Coruscant it’s easier than it would be in other places because there are simply so many people to hide both your own presence and the things you want to obscure. The senate especially makes it more difficult as there are many people there who are already unpleasant to Jedi senses which helps Palps blend his own presence in when he hides it. 

Palpatine is using those around him, especially the Senators that are already dark in the force to hide himself so that the Jedi only see the presence he presents for them. They don’t notice it because they’re used to the darkness of the Senate and expect it of them by now. And they don’t catch the lies because they aren’t expecting a random Senator, the Chancellor even, to know how to hide the same way they do.
