Bonds - Yuna&Cloud

Vibrant mismatched hues traced the horizon for him. Her pale pink lips were dry from endlessly whistling with every breath in her entire being. The same sorrow overwhelmed her when her dream didn't emerge from the water and take her into his loving embrace. Every day she walked the same path. And every day she was left just as heartbroken.
Three years have passed since Yuna brought the Eternal Calm. The winds of change were all around her, but Yuna still remained the same—no matter how much she tried to move on.
A new order rose up—the Yevoners—their mission was to unite Spira through Yevon's teachings, not rule them. Becoming a priestess for the Yevoners was an easy task. Baralai jumped at the opportunity to have the grand summoner involved in some way. Her support in the newly founded religion influenced many Spiran's to follow in her footsteps. Yuna knew that the teachings were false, but the people needed someone to pray to. They needed hope—a divine being they could pour all their hearts out to during prayer. And she would gladly be the one to light the torch to such hope.
The summoner was so invested in her own thoughts that she had failed to notice the immense gathering of people on the farther side of the beach. She observed for a moment longer until she noticed Botta & Keepa, pulling a figure from the water—a blond man. What happened next was a bit of a blur. Adrenaline surged through her small figure, as she stumbled into a full out run, not stopping until she was on her knees in front of him. Slender fingers ran through his damp hair, pushing blond tresses out of his face. "Is it you?" A soft whisper fell from her lips, as she felt Wakka's arms lacing around her waist pulling her backwards. She watched on helplessly as he was carted away by the villagers.
Of course, it wasn't him. He was gone. It troubled her to think such thoughts, but she had to face the truth someday. She didn't anticipate this, but Yuna strangely found herself drawn to this man. She remained vigilant by his side, tending to his every need, hoping that one day he would awake and tell her magnificent stories of a dream metropolis; a city that never sleeps. Every once in a while he would mumble in his sleep about forgiveness, followed by an array of foreign names. A tortured look would paint his features, like he was re-living the same nightmare over & over again.
A week had passed when her patient finally opened his eyes. At first he didn't say a single word—just stared at her, confusion clouding his gaze. She had never seen such beautiful eyes in her life, they glowed in the dimly lit tent. Her body stiffened—frozen in place, her mouth opened to greet him but the words seemed to have been lost.
" Can... Are you able to speak? "
