I actually headcanon Jack as Japanese. I will absolutely die on this hill.
Jack, being a fictional character, can be any nationality you headcanon him as. That’s part of the beauty with this series. While Clay, Kimiko, Raimundo, and Omi have more cemented nationalities they hail from, the rest of the characters are left as blank slates or entirely ambiguous. You are free to fill in those gaps as you see fit.
A majority of people I’ve seen in fandom headcanon Jack as half Western nationality (usually American), half Eastern nationality (usually Chinese or Japanese). But it’s perfectly valid to headcanon him as full-blooded Japanese, or Turkish, or any other nationality you think fits. Just be respectful if your headcanon differs from others.
Hey Nami, if you can't grow flowers or herbs due to location, etc, what are your recs to get your hands on them, especially flowers?
Well depends on the type of flowers and whether you are looking for fresh or dried. For dried and if they are edible or tea grade places like Monterey Bay Spice Company (or Herboco) are a good online option. If you are looking for non-edible grade flowers then honestly I often check out local florists or even chain groceries to see if they have any discounted flowers especially if you are intending on drying them. I have gotten some slightly wilted roses from grocery stores for half price.

01. What does your character’s name mean? Did you pick it for the symbolism, or did you just like the way it sounded?
Teva comes nea’teva which is Laotian for “above heaven”. When I decided I wanted Nea to be an older twin, I decided her sibling should have a name based off one of my siblings since Nea is named after me. So, Teva is named after my youngest brother.
02. What is one of your character’s biggest insecurities? Are they able to hide it easily or can others easily exploit this weakness?
One of Teva’s biggest insecurities is being constantly sick. He knows he shouldn’t worry over it to much since he was born like this and there is only so much that can be done for him. But it still makes him worried and insecure about looking so weak.
03. What would be their favorite physical trait about themselves?
He loves his eye color.
04. What are their favorite traits about their lover? (one psychological and one physical)
He’s currently single.
05. Are they sexually confident or more of the shy type?
He’s sexually confident, especially as being someone who is openly gay.
06. Do they have any hobbies that their lover finds unusual, odd, or otherwise annoying?
Well, aside from being single, I suppose one could find his skill in hacking can be unusual.
07. Is there a catchphrase or sound that they tend to make a lot (likely without being aware of it)?

He loves summer the most as he’s able to get outside more.
10. Is your character more feminine or masculine?
He could really care less about how he appears as he doesn’t get out much so doesn’t see much of a point to wear anything else, but his choice in clothes could be either way, as long as it’s comfortable.
11. What is something that would make your character fly into a rage?
If harm were to come to his older twin sister, Nea, even worse if she were to die.
12. Is there some particular talent, skill, or attribute that they simply could not give up?
Not really, even though he’s very skilled in hacking and programming, he’d be perfectly fine giving it up if need be.
13. What are your character’s sleeping habits? Heavy or light sleeper? Blanket stealer? One that always rolls onto the floor? Pushes their lover onto the floor? Sleep talker or walker?
Teva is quite the light sleeper, and even though he is physically sick, he sleeps quite well. He neither talks or walks in his sleep.
14. Do they live alone or with family? How do they feel about their family/roommates?
Due to being constantly sick, he currently lives with his parents along with his sister, mostly his father currently as his mother is currently out of the country and Nea is off in the tournament.
15. Is there a certain person in this world that they cannot stand? The very mention of this person’s name makes them tremble with anger or fear.

16. Is your character the athletic type or more of a couch potato? What are some sports/games that they like?
He likes doing light workouts and yoga, he hates lying around in bed all day and doing nothing.
17. Does your character have dreams of getting married and/or having children?
He’s a bit of a romantic and wants to find a man to marry someday, even have children related by blood.
18. What kind of home would they want to live in? Where would they place this abode?
As long as it’s comfortable, he’d be perfectly content living in somewhere small. He’d prefer it to be in the countryside or forest though.
19. Would your character be the kind to get into fights? (physical or verbal) Would they be a good fighter or cave in rather easily?
He’d be decent at self-defense as his father taught him and Nea but he wouldn’t last long due to be sickly.
20. Does your character like animals? What are some of their favorite animals? Would they want pets? What about mythological creatures?
He loves birds and dogs.
21. What is one of your character’s biggest fears? How would they react when dealing with this fear?

He has three silver piercings on his left ear (viewer’s right).

He was actually homeschooled due to being sickly, but he did perfectly. His best subjects are math and science.

Single boy.

Very single boy.

He’s a good boy, he’d never do a crime. (If you exclude the hacking that is, he’s never caught though and wouldn’t do it with evil intent.)

There’s not much he would really be famous for (not like he would want such a thing).
29. What is one of the most courageous things your character has ever done for a loved one?
I’m leaving that for later.

Teva is quite skilled at playing the piano and enjoys it.
31. Would your character be the kind capable of killing? Would they enjoy killing or only use it when necessary or, perhaps, refuse to kill no matter what?
He’s capable of harming someone if necessary but could never kill.
32. If your character’s lover offered to take them out on a dream date, what would they want to do?
He’s single but his idea of a dream date is an afternoon picnic. He can be a simple boy with simple needs.
33. If your character wanted to be alone, where would they go?
Just in his bedroom, with a sign on his door saying to not disturb. He’s simple.
34. Does your character have favorite foods? (breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, snacks, etc)
He loves most sweet things.
35. Is your character afraid of death? If they got to choose how to die, how would they want to go?
He’s a little afraid, since he is sickly and all. He would at least want to die peacefully, most likely in his sleep so he wouldn’t feel it.
36. Does your character have any medical conditions? Are they serious or minor? Do they affect their day to day life?
He was born weak and is constantly sick. He mostly has to stay at home due to this.
37. What are some of your character’s pet peeves? What are some things that annoy them or disgust them?
He’s pretty easy going and it takes quite a bit to annoy him, he doesn’t really have much that annoys him.
38. What kind of weather does your character like? Cloudy skies, rainy days, sunshine, etc?
He loves sunny weather as it lets him go outside.

He’s usually pretty open and easy-going so his personality that is shown is usually his true or close to his true self.

He’s pretty open.

He’s a bit outgoing but perfectly fine being a follower.
