here's my list of who's suffering from hanahaki after falling in love with Jack Spicer, from least affected to death. the more they repress and ignore and push down their feelings, the more flowers grow in their lungs and choke them

Never even gets hanahaki: Le Mime, Vlad

Le Mime saw a pretty goth boy outside a parisian cafe and he was immediately down for anything, he never even gets a seed of hanahaki.

Vlad gets cuteness aggression when he sees Jack and just likes him in general, he also never gets hanahaki

Mild case: Katnappe, Omi

Katnappe has a surprisingly mild case. While she does question her own taste, and coughs a few petals like "ugh him?? really???" she also accepts her feelings almost immediately, and Jack becomes something she wants to steal. she has great fun running circles around him and doesn't cough any more petals

Omi accepts his love for jack very quickly, but also feels a little guilty about it because Jack is evil, and does liking him mean Omi is evil too?? he tries suppressing his feelings out of loyalty to his friends and ends up coughing a few petals, but he's also sneaking out to meet jack and that reverses some of the damage. eventually Omi publically declares he's in love and that eases all his guilt, even if there's still tension with his friends. he never coughs up another petal

Moderate case: Kimiko, Raimundo

Kimiko starts coughing flowers and spends a little while in denial that they're because of Jack. She's half convinced he cursed her with some shen gong wu. But once she's got her anger out, she faces what the flowers symbolise directly. Somehow, some way, she loves Jack. This must mean there's something lovable about Jack, because Kimiko trusts her own taste enough that she wouldn't just fall for him for no good reason. Once she works out why, she doesn't hide her feelings or let them get in the way of beating Jack at Shen Gong Wu hunts. Kimiko doesn't cough up any more flowers.

Raimundo falls for Jack, and whether or not he accepts that changes from moment to moment. he flips between "whoa Jack is so cool and pretty!" and "of all the people in the whole world why the hell does it have to be him!?" especially when jack's being selfish or mean. Rai will spend weeks denying he has feelings for Jack, that he's over jack, and the flowers grow and grow, and then Jack does something randomly helpful or cute and Rai's just sighing dreamily again. it's pretty obvious to everyone except jack that Rai is in love with him, and they pester Rai to stop repressing his feelings whenever he's coughing flowers

Severe case: Clay

Clay admits and accepts his own love jack pretty quickly, but similar to Omi, he doesn't feel like he's allowed to love jack and hides it. he's the perfect son! he can't be here falling in love with an enemy, that would mean he's failing at being a good xiaolin warrior! Clay buries all his feelings down deep and ignores how he's coughing more petals each morning. the flower roots grow through his lungs, leaving him sicker and weaker each day until Clay can't hide the symptoms anymore. The other monks are very concerned for him, and after a few heartfelt chats and reassurance that they'll accept Clay's feelings no matter who he loves, he finally admits his love for Jack out loud. Clay's symptoms clear up in a few weeks after that

Lethal case: Chase Young

the idea that he could have developed any degree of attachment for that worm is abhorrent. Chase relies on his martial discipline to eliminate the feelings of affection he holds for jack. this does not work. Chase ignores the fact that he's coughing flowers, because acknowledging that means admitting he's repressing feelings and he's not repressing anything at all! he is in control of his body and mind! There's no flowers choking his lungs and destroying his body!There's a slim chance he'll survive, mostly dependent on if he'll admit he's afflicted long enough to surgically cut the flowers out

Dies: Wuya

while she does recognise she's caught hanahaki almost immediately and what that means, and she knows the solution is to accept the love she feels, she never realises the feelings she has for jack are love. wuya assumes that she must on some subconscious level not love herself enough and that's why she's coughing flowers. she gets increasingly furious when loving herself harder doesn't fix anything. cutting the flowers out is not an option, she doesn't want to lose her love for herself!! jack shows concern for her when she's weak, and that just makes the flowers bloom faster, and wuya can't work out why. she dies, still oblivious. jack keeps the plant.
