HMS Indomitable (92), an Illustrious-class aircraft carrier of the Royal Navy. Taken either 1944 with the Eastern Fleet or early 1945 with the British Pacific Fleet.
HMS Victorious (R38) circa 1959, after her major eight year refit. Her hull was widened, deepened, and lengthened. Her machinery was replaced with Foster-Wheeler boilers, her hangar height was increased and a fully angled flight deck (of 8 degrees) with powerful new steam catapults was installed. Her radar equipment was also extensively altered to bringing it up to date, including the first type 984 3-D radar system to be installed on a ship. She was essentially made anew.
