To The Girl Who Loves Him Next...

If I’m not stating the obvious, you have a wonderful man right in front of you. His heart is as big as hearts can get, he would bend over backwards for a close friend or his family. Oh god, his family.... they’re actually incredible people.. he’s a pretty big family man so expect to have all these strangers take you in their homes and accept you with open arms. They won’t even know you yet but any one who he thinks deserves to be brought home, that’s enough for them to know you’re probably pretty great. Also expect him to get home sick and want to visit them a lot, there’s nothing wrong with that, his family is really great and would do anything for him. Chances are he’ll ask you every time he goes to visit them if you want to join him, he wont tell you but he would really love it if you went with him. 

He’s a really hard worker, needs to be doing things constantly and he does them well. So expect him to be tired and hungry when he comes home from work but he won’t be brat or cranky, just give him food and a tight hug and he’s all yours. Speaking of hugs, if he doesn’t hug you all the time it doesn’t mean he doesn’t want you. He wants you. He loves you, he doesn’t have to say it all the time but by god, if he takes you to his place and wants you to be the one he wakes up to, know it’s because you probably have the biggest part in his heart. 

Communication isn’t his strongest suit but with time and practice anything can improve. The best communication you’ll get is the physical one… When it’s the middle of the night and he randomly pulls you close to cuddle you, or when he grabs your hand while he’s driving, or the way he looks at you before he’s about to kiss you… You’ll see the love in his eyes. Don’t be blind from it… It’s there I promise. There will be nights where he stays up because he can’t sleep without you, he might even get up and come and find you to join him in bed. I promise you, what ever it is that you were doing can wait, because going to bed with him will mean so much to him. 

He’ll get upset from time to time, he’ll probably grab his keys and go for a drive down some dirt road racking his brain of anything and everything. Go after him. Pull him close. Just your touch will make him calm and talking will be easier from there. He needs that closeness in hard times. He’ll cry. That’s okay, he tries so hard to be strong and get through every day pleasing everyone and putting everyone first, he forgets to leave time to put himself first. He’s very selfless. And watching him over the past two years you can see the emotional tole that puts on him, so make sure you put him first because he deserves it more than anyone I know. 

He likes his tea with a lot of sugar, if you’re sharing a cup don’t expect it to last long and he’ll drink it all if it’s in his hands.. So just make two cups haha.. He loves to cuddle, he’ll be your big teddy bear. But he’s a cover hog even if he tells you he isn’t, so expect that, but don’t worry, he’s always so warm (probably from his warm heart) but then you never have to worry about being cold. He has an incredible body, make sure you let him know that; he’ll make sure to let you know how sexy you are. He might be a little shy in the beginning to hold you in public or around his friends, but once y'all get closer he’ll get over that and be sure to show you off to everyone. 

You’re a special person to have him. Don’t let him go.. Don’t make the mistake I did. You’ll be losing the best thing you ever have. He’s worth the fight. He’s worth staying up all night talking until it’s worked out. Please don’t ever go to bed mad at each other. Neither of you deserve that. You both deserve to be happy and as long as you fight for each other and show each other how much you love them, you will be the happiest people. He’s a sensitive guy but a hug, a kiss, and an “I love you” will go a long way I promise! Also trust is a big thing for him, he’s been hurt too many times in the past and so to fully give himself to you will take time, but you’ll know when he’s finally opened up and it’ll be one of the best feelings you’ve had. To know someone fully trusts you and loves you, you’ll know he’s the one you want to keep in your life forever. 

So, to the girl who loves him next… Take care of his heart and he will take care of you. I wish you two the best and a life full of happiness and laughter, passion and closeness and most importantly love. Thank you for loving him.
