antipsychiatry is not enough. where is the criticism of the larger medical systems
there's this debate when it comes to abortion rights vs disability rights. the whole talking point of "isn't it eugenics to abort if you discover the fetus has a disability". I've seen a disability advocate describe how it's questionable where the line should be. for example if you know they will be born without a finger? a leg? two legs? what percentage of limbs lost justifies the decision not to have them?
essentially, what amount of suffering is too much and it becomes okay? 80%? 50%? 20%? anywhere you put the border seems arbitrary, right?
except... doesn't it seem like the only reasonable boundary is between zero and any non-zero amount? meaning... yes... it's unjustifiable to bring any child into this world, since the amount of suffering they will experience is guaranteed to be above zero.
people scoff at antinatalism but they fail to bring their own arguments to their natural conclusion.
