... I once made a comment about how the scene in Episode I of Samurai Jack(The Beginning) played out almost exactly like some Godzilla-esque movie.
So I find it incredibly fitting that Aku would want to watch Godzilla.

Aku is as ruthless as he is destructive. When on the warpath, the Shogun of Sorrow utilizes his powers to their fullest, and takes extreme pleasure in the destruction and chaos he rains down upon his enemies.
When in one-on-one combat, Aku may play along to the terms set down by his opponent ; but in the end, Aku is bound only to his own rules, and will resort to deception to overcome his foes.
No mortal weapon can harm the Shapeshifting Master of Darkness. Only the powers of a divine object can hurt him.
When he is in danger, he will retreat to recover his strength to fight another day, with little concern to how his enemies may see him.
It is survival instinct. Not cowardice.
