The third time Derek gives a hum in response to one of Stiles’ stories, Stiles decides to change it up. “So yeah,” he says, moving his laptop and carefully sliding it under the bed so he doesn’t step on it when he gets up, “Allison was all ‘Stiles, I told you that Morámer wasn’t a vampire, he’s clearly a werewolf, you can’t kill him with a wooden stake’, and when I think about it I can see her point, you know? There’s the growling and the sniffing, you heard that while you were in his class, right?”
“All the time,” Derek says distractedly, and then, “wait—what?”
He laughs, scooting across his bed until he’s flat on his back and twisting so his legs face the wall. “You could just tell me you’re too busy to talk,” he says, reaching back to drag his pillow down to where he’s resting.
“Sorry,” Derek says. “I’m just trying to get some stuff done and I still wanted to talk to you, but it’s not really working out. I guess I thought it would be more like last year.”

Derek and Cora are twins, and the same age as Stiles.
It's Derek and Stiles' first day in first grade when they meet (Cora doesn't have the best control of her wolf; Derek has a surprisingly good hold on his though, hence he is sent to school at such a young age). Derek is sitting alone, away from everyone else, not liking the tears of his fellow classmates, and generally missing his twin. This is when Stiles spots him, and walks over, ready to coax Derek into playing "Guess which animal am I?" with Jackson, Lydia, Danny and himself (they make not at all accurate noises of each animal, and the others have to guess).
Derek only agrees because Stiles would just not leave him alone until he gets what he wants. Plus, Derek didn't get why he had to hide who he is; at least this way he could be a wolf and not break his promise to his parents.
(After the third consecutive time Derek howled, Jackson and Danny sat on top of him until he agreed to Lydia and Stiles' rules of not being a wolf again).
By the end of the first month, Derek and Stiles are inseparable and their group of five is the coolest group of their class, apparently.
Cora is jealous. She wants to go to school too, and meet Der's friends! But her parents won't allow said friends to come over.
Cora sneaks off. She goes to Derek's school one day, and there, she spots Lydia Martin. She is positive it's her: Derek complains about her a lot because Stiles keeps complimenting Lydia a lot.
Lydia and Cora becomes the best, best, best friends right away. Also, Cora is smug because her nose is better than Derek's: she noticed that non-human smell on Lydia, not him!
Reluctantly, Talia and Nathaniel Hale allow Cora to go to school with Derek. Cora is an instant addition to their group, and Derek is having the time of his life. He has great friends, and now his twin is right there with him!
Lydia and Stiles only take a few months to realise that two of their friends aren't exactly human. When they ask Derek and Cora, Cora's like, "We didn't tell them!" while Derek worries that Stiles won't be friends with him anymore. ("You're worried that only Stiles won't be friends with you?" Lydia asks Derek, eyes narrowed. "You're scarier than us," Derek says, like that answer makes sense. The leaf thrown his way via Stiles means it doesn't).
By the time they're in middle school, Danny and Jackson are in on the secret as well.
Laura, eight-years older than her siblings, calls the group of six the "Puppy Pack." Then everyone else starts calling them that, too.
Stiles and Derek have their first kiss when they're twelve; It's Christmas, and the six have a routine of spending a little bit of time at everyone's house before converging at the Hale's to end Derek and Cora's birthday with an amazing sleepover. The kiss happens when they're in the Martin's house: Lydia's mom put a fake mistletoe (it's become a habit now), and Derek and Stiles happened to walk through the kitchen doorway together.
Stiles and Derek have their real first kiss when they're fifteen. According to everyone who knows them, it's been long overdue.
The "Puppy Pack" becomes the heart of Beacon Hills, even though they don't mean to.
I have to throw in mine: I like to break and crumble up ramen noddle (raw straight from the package) and pour milk in it because it'll taste like cereal 😭

So, I got into Sterek last year. Hah, yup, I was so early for this :D My roommate introduced me to the TV show and we would watch it together after I finished work since because of lockdown, there wasn't much more we could be doing than watching TV.
I searched for teen wolf stuff on pinterest first i think? Just to find some memes I could torture my roommate with. And of course, Sterek popped up and I was like. Wait. This makes sense. This feels right.
And back then I was only reading HP fanfiction, and using ff.net (don't judge me, i didnt know ao3 existed!) so i IMMEDIATELY went to look for fics. Of course, I searched for the most fucked up smut first to torture my roommate with, because I am a joy to have around the house.
But since then, no, no break. Sterek all day every day. Literally. I am wondering about whether I will ever make my way back to HP, I've been reading Harry Potter fanfiction since I was a kid since I got annoyed waiting for new books. Not a patient person over here. I do kinda wanna go back into HP? I havent lost my love for that universe, but I for some reason can only do one fandom at a time apparently, and I am nowhere near done with Sterek :D

- I’m so stupid. Honestly, I never know what's going on or why but then a fic comes out of nowhere and I can't complain. Or I never write at all and I'm complaining so much (internally, painfully)

- I wrote this one Sterek fic where Stiles gets frontal dementia and I honestly almost finished it with him not recovering... I still have the draft where he doesn't get better and IT'S SO ANSTY

- I don't know if it's a guilty pleasure, but I love writing/reading badfriend!Scott. I came to the fandom not minding the character so much, but I'm not such a fan now... puppy fanon!Scott isn't bad though, don't get me wrong XD
