(2/3) Sipaliwini, #Suriname Lobi Lafu is located next to a 'sula' (rapid) and after we brought our luggage up and all claimed our beds/huts we could finally explore the water. The thing about 'sulas' is that they can be dangerous. And I don't mean to sound dramatic but you can definitely hurt yourself if you're not careful. If you're not used to it simply ask locals/friends to help you navigate. Now I'm not gonna say that my cousins and I are experts, but we have seen our fair share 😎😂 so we have a good sense of what moves to make in and out of the water. And if you're careful and vigilant and just stay within the reasonable 'safe zone' , the water makes for one of the most relaxing experiences you can have in the Amazon 🙌🙌🙌!
