Thinking about Zero and Hypno again
Because like wow,I get it man
Just like thinking about it from Hypno's perspective
Imagine being Hypno okay. You're created as an abomination weapon probably against Nightmare because Dark wanted that bitch gone. All you really want is chaos and you're very unstable,but you somehow manage to befriend this wonderful person named Rainbow who's set down a more heroic version of your destiny. So you say fuck it and decide to go against fate and help him out,slowly growing more attached until he's dead and you kill the last threat to the world so you can go join him in the afterlife. And then THAT gets ruined. And Sabre, this player who isn't part of this world,who USED to be a 'hero"...isn't taking it seriously? The spirit world is in danger. RAINBOW is in danger. And Sabre is cracking jokes and bitching to you and putting you in harms way. And all this ends with you falling apart and being trapped in a machine in a lab while Sabre leaves you unguarded
And you vanish,and you're gone,and you're forgotten.
...and then that isn't it. And when you wake up you're restored beyond even the spirit world,it's like you never died at all. Someone saved you,something saved you but you don't know what it was.
But suddenly there are players. Lots of them. Whatever barrier was making Sabre and Lucas the only ones is gone.
And one of them is this girl named Zero,and she's so,so different from Sabre. She's a sky person,someone who watched like you. She tries to explain things in a way that can be understood from what you know where Sabre just brushed it off. She's fiercely protective and so excited to be here,and for one reason or another she adores you. She clings onto you like she's scared something will take you away,and she says you're beautiful,and when you talk in that glitchy broken voice she listens with wide sparkling eyes. She rambles about your life story like it's her favorite book,and when she says you killed Origin she says it with pride instead of the whining "we didn't even know if we wanted to kill him!" you used to get from Sabre. Any doubts about your trustworthyness or kindness are met with a confused or irritated look and "he's nice..." And when she talks about you getting abandoned,she talks like it was the worst crime ever committed,it's apparently been YEARS and she's still so angry about it. She's so angry at Sabre for how he treated you,all of you.
And then you're in hell,and she's scared of demons but she came because this is the next step to getting back to Rainbow,and she wants to get you back to Rainbow. And she loves him too,so much. And you found two of the people you're looking for after she helped tear apart the mobs because of course she did,and Illusion is complaining about Sabre and asking for more rants about him,more of the worst things he ever did. And she pauses with a dark look on her face,mouth half forming a silent word before she decides to keep the conversation lighter. But you saw it. You saw that she was going to say Rainbow. And you know she blames Sabre for his death too.
For the first time in a long time,you feel seen.
