Today is the birthday of my better half, @soundoftherain ♥♥♥

Leah, dear sweet Leahbee, there are not enough words in the english language for me to express to you how much you mean to me.  You came into my life at a time when I needed someone like you more than I even knew at the time.  I’d just been chewed up and spit back out by life, and you were there to help pick up the pieces and rebuild my heart into something so much stronger and more capable of love than before.

Every memory I share with you is dear to me — selfies at the top of the Space Needle, walking around Pike Place Market just browsing shops all morning, the nights spent texting you until we’re both delirious with sleepiness, meeting Dan and Phil at your side, days spent curled up in your basement watching tv together, perfect moments of silence just spent in your radiant company.

You are my gift from the universe, and I am grateful every single day for you. You are my forever reminder that the other half of my soul is out there waiting for me, whenever I need it — my soulmate in every sense of the world.  It’s such a comfort to me, to know that if I reach for you, you are always there to reach back — to know that there is someone out there who understands me on a soul-deep level — who knows me, my flaws and my fears, and loves me anyway.  Nothing feels more destined than knowing we found each other, across thousands of miles.

I hope today is filled with precious animals at the zoo, just the right amount of rain, delicious food, smiles and laughter, no stress, and only love.  You are the brightest, best part of my life and I will love you beyond my very last breath.
