A Little Game Hurts No One || Tuah & Fane
“Oh come on,” Tuah groaned, his body slouched as he leaned back against the sofa, a look of frustration evident on his face. He glared at the large screen in front of him, before turning his glare at his friend, that was obviously hiding a snicker behind his hand. “This is hardly fair. I don’t have enough practice with the controls as much as you do.” He crossed his hands in front of his chest, lips pursed in a petulance.
He sat next to Fane on the couch sofa, wearing a Star Trek sweater with a plain grey shirt underneath and comfortable old washed out jeans. He sat crossed legged, his feet bare, feeling as comfortable as he would be in his own home in Fane’s estate. “I bet you only want to play this game so you can beat me at it. If you had wanted more challenge, you would’ve asked Miss Parker to play with you.” If it was anyone else, Tuah would’ve accepted his defeat more gracefully. But he was with Fane, so he allowed himself to be more petulant about it, knowing Fane well enough that he allowed the other to see this side of him.
“I’ll get her on my team soon enough, and we’re going to beat you in no time.” Tuah wasn’t even sure if Maya knew how to play the game, but he was sure she would be better at it than him, so perhaps with them teaming up together, they’d stand a chance to beat Fane in the game. “Speaking of which. Where is she, anyway? I thought she’s staying at your house.” He found out that Maya was living here when he had wanted to send the gift to her, having delivered all the gifts personally.
