oh gosh. this one is hard but i really think people ignore cuddy and lucas’s relationship too much. i think they are wonderful and perfect and to me lucas is a butch lesbian and i think he’s beautiful and wonderful and too good for this show he didn’t deserve the end of season 6 just as much as cuddy didn’t. can i buy you a ginger ale?

15. that one thing you see in fanart all the time

i loooooove the fanart that intimates aspects of the show whether it is lines of dialogue or like motifs in the show. so there’s one i think i’ve reblogged it idc that’s like you and i have begun to blur and it’s will and hannibal’s face blurred and morphed together. and i loooove stuff that has to do with the chapel in florence. and deer i love the deer stuff. i live in an area highly populated with deer and it’s kinda altered my brain every time i see a deer. realizing this is not one thing it is just hard to pick love and light

Natural Instincts

They still hadn’t told everyone about their relationship, only their close friends. She knew James wanted to freely hold her hand in public by the way he walked closely next to her in the hallways and the way he seemed to think about pulling her close before blinking twice and looking around the room. She hated that she was doing this to him, forcing him against his natural instincts but she couldn’t quite let herself relax in public yet. It wasn’t that she was ashamed of him, she had been best friends with him for more than a year now, they were constantly together and the student cohort knew they were close. But she just couldn’t show that level of intimacy in public, at least not yet.

She didn’t find it so easy to show affection in public, she even struggled to hug her friends. She blamed her family for this. The way Petunia would turn her nose up when couples hugged on TV or kissed in public. It wasn’t in Lily’s blood to be affectionate so outwardly.

She had arguments with previous boyfriends about this problem. Arguments that ended in ultimatums and comments that cemented into Lily’s mind.

“No one will ever be able to love you the way you want to be loved”

She didn’t love her last boyfriend enough to try being a real couple. She didn’t really like him a lot anyway but with James, she knew this time around it was different.

James was too good to her. He was patient and always smiling, even when his hand went to grasp Lily’s in the corridor and Lily found a way to detach herself organically. They had had a conversation about her inability to show affection in public. Mary had brought it up in conversation one night and James pulled her to one side and asked her to explain.
