Little grain of Stardust

My little grain of Stardust, so brightly do you glow. 

You put the very sun to shame, with the light that you bestow

Upon the very veil of time. Your shimmer is immense I love

How your gentle shine always seems to envelop me, below and above.

Your presence is like a firefly trapped in an endless world of black

You remind how in this world there is no going back 

To how simple things had been in life

We cannot simply undo strife 

So we must keep pressing onward, moving towards the light

That you so generously bestow upon us every day and night

So that we can seek out and find what it will take to make us grow

But I know

That thing is you - hold me true

To my word - even if it seems absurd 

Just knowing you has made me grow in such a way

That I n longer hold a sense of shame
