I'm so happy💗💗💗 And yea, I think Dottore is not very good with affectionate words, it comes as a struggle for him, not just because he doesn't know what to say but it's a bit of a blow to his ego, to think he's saying such nauseating sickly and syrupy sweet things- But he's still very good with words so he has no problem putting someone in their place if he has to. I think of him as more of an action sort of guy too!

Well.  Not really.  It’s actually much,  much worse than that.  Dad’s going to be disappointed with her.  Flurry sits on the park bench and unfolds the detention slip,  little hands shaking and face screwed up in no small amount of upset  --  no small amount of anger!  She can’t even figure out what the substitute teacher is accusing her of.  It’s a page of pure gobbledygook.  ‘ Wilful behavior! ’  ‘ Flagrant disregard for authority! ’  ‘ Snarky attitude! ’  What do those words even MEAN?!

Only one thing is communicated to the little girl crystal clear.  Neatly printed in cursive writing at the bottom is the ultimatum  --  her sentence.  ONE HOUR DETENTION,  to be served FRIDAY AFTERNOON by FRISK ANN KENNICOT,  and a dotted line where Squish needs to sign off on the whole sordid affair.  Part of her wants to burst into childish tears of frustration,  another part of her wants to rip this into confetti and toss it all aside to be taken away by the breeze.  But then school will phone home,  or catch Dad on the playground when he picks her up,  or...

Her miserable train of thought momentarily derails when she senses eyes on her.  Flurry swallows thickly and lifts her sullen gaze,  ready to snap.  Take her anger out on this unfortunate bystander.  ( PISSOFF!  NOSY FUCK!  DUN’ STARE AT ME!  GO ‘WAY! )  Yet there’s not a person to screech at  --  just...  a bird.  A bird with dark glossy feathers,  a curved beak,  a knowing gaze.  In spite of herself the child cants her head.  Distracted for all of a blissful moment.  Oh,  a crow...  she thinks it’s a crow,  anyways.  Like from home.  It holds itself a little better than Joe used to,  though.  It looks a little more sleek.
