he lost his right pinky finger and he doesn't know when or where or how.

I think I mentioned this before, but Ilya doesnt have a pinky on his left hand. He also has NO idea how he lost it - he woke up after some shit went down, and it was gone.

29: The sound they make when they’re in pain.

If it’s a ‘fresh hurt’ after an attack, obviously, he’s loud. Not a shriek but a yell, usually a curse - a good ‘motherfucker!’. Imagine a hit to the ribs, a knife slice that leaves a line - he immediately throws a hand up to catch the attacker’s jaw while yelling ‘fuck!’

If he’s trying to get away: quiet. He holds where he’s hurt tight and grits his teeth, locks his jaw. You can hear him grunt and whine and the gasps he gives as he struggles.

If it’s a fun, naughty kind of pain? Just moans. lbr. lbr. lbr.

30: How they react to being scared.

he tries not to let people see him scared and he’s fairly good at it, but if you genuinely manage to terrify him a lot of his response is physical. He doesn’t waste time with words, and he doesn’t plead - you’d have to have him thoroughly beat, pinned down, intending to kill someone he loves or do something truly heinous to them or him before he begs for his freedom.

If he’s afraid and not trapped, he fights and he goes for the weakest spots on a person, like the eyes or a good punch to the throat. He’ll grab ears and bend fingers back and dig his nails into heels if it gives him even a second to get the edge or get away.
