Easy. Time is an illusion and I have a terrible time of figuring out when middle aged starts and ends. I'm the guy who gets all kinds of guesstimations horrifically wrong. I think a table is too big then blow my mind when it's too small for a room. A kid looks 13 and kills me when they tell me they're 8. My friend tells me their thirty and old and I'm left struggling to figure out what that makes me at #. Someone told me a drive was so long and my American ass went 'oh god like 6, 7 hours?' And my English ass step father said '20 min.' There's a reason I never use exact measurements and that's because I can never picture them. Age is the same. It's a number we assign meaning to and so I will call a 27 year man middle aged and young and old and a baby all in the same fic.

I do want to say that I'm also in my late 20s and it's all so confusing to me. I will deliver psychic damage again. Hope this helps!

I really really appreciate obvious aging. I love you laugh lines. I love you big noses that were never trimmed to perfection. I love you naturally greying hair that people pay for and pay to get rid of but chose not to. I love you forehead wrinkles from thinking. I love you crows feet. I love you smiling with naturally stained worn teeth. I love you smeared and wrinkled makeup after an amazing night of no longer preforming. I love you spending money on experiences rather than facial reconstruction. I love you being confident no matter the shame society wants you to feel. I love you being completely yourself no matter where you are in life. I love you aging whether we like it all the time or not. I'm honestly so proud we're aging. Idk about you I did NOT think I'd make it so I can't help it im so grateful to age!
