im copying and pasting from reddit so pardon the formatting but im going crazy from this months-long ear pain n posting here is a long shot, but i wanna see if anyone has any insight
For multiple months now (at the very least since April, possibly longer), I have had persistent pain in my right ear only when something touches the area. I have seen ENTs, urgent care, primary care, no one can figure out what's happening
The area that hurts is the area right above my auditory canal (I believe external auditory meatus), on the side opposite my tragus. My ear immediately starts ringing when something brushes or presses against it, which goes away as soon as the pressure is gone. I have been unable to wear earbuds, in-ear hearing protection, or earplugs as a result
The only lead is possibly TMJ, however I'm worried it might be a blocked or clogged pore, due to the stiffness of the area and the fact it only hurts when pressed
