Things you shouldn't teach your children
1. Boys and girls can't be friends- my entire life I learned that liking boys was bad and that if you even talked to one that meant you liked him. I only started having guy friends last year. And even to this day, my dad gets all protective if he even hears me mention a boy. I never had a lot of friends in general, and now I understand why. 2. Do everything you're told and don't lie otherwise you'll get in a lot of trouble- that just pushes kids to lie to you more, you are pushing your children away by teaching them that. All my life I have never been able to tell my parents anything that happens because they have protected me to the point where I've had to figure life out by myself. I can't tell them about my wonderful boyfriend because they don't trust me. They have created a monster, I only learned to actually trust and care about people LAST YEAR. I have anxiety and trust issues because of the way that my parents taught me that they don't know about. My parents see me as a perfect child, what they don't know is that I'm a normal kid who does normal kid stuff and has normal kid feelings. Please, please, please, don't do this to your kids. It just hurts you and them.
in less than an hour itll be legal for me to go to jail honestly wtf
