ok but the rushing the six of crow plots takes away so much how inundated and messy they are.
jesper having a crush on kaz and dropping out of uni for him!! and the fight they have being a shock because they are so close. his relationship with wylan being something he was able to have after he kind of let kaz go as a pontential option.
kaz knowing about jesper's grisha/zowa ability before the story started. this is indicative of their relationship. maybe it came up when jesper was drunk one night, maybe kaz noticed it early on. having it shown on screen, in story, takes so much away from their built relationship.
nina being close with the group because she's just has done stuff for them before. her making fun of kaz and finding inej attractive. she's just part of the group.
kaz and inej not having to say anything to each other, the overwhelming understanding they have for each other.
inej hacking off her menagerie tattoo before the start of the series, leaving a scar, only for nina to heal it later.
these character moments and story beats had their places. rushing into book storylines without set up was only saved because of the actors and their chemistry.
i think having the group being all in each other's pockets and kind of in love with each other is what six of crows is all about. a found family.
