One of the hardest things about being someone like me, someone who doesn’t have that one specific passion, that one thing you love doing the most above all else, is to accept that it’s ok to be like that.
I feel like we put so much emphasis on finding your true calling that, more often than sometimes we forget that we might have many things we’re good at or that we enjoy doing.
Some people win the lottery of life and know what they want to do, they know who they want to be from a very early point in life. I envy them.
People like me have it a bit harder, because in a world that’s so “one path” minded, it’s hard to believe in yourself. Because nobody else does, everyone keeps telling you that you can’t do this or that and to focus on that one thing.
But, as I find myself realizing that really, there’s nobody who will understand me as much as myself, I feel the need to unburden myself with the labels that the world impose on you and become free to do what I feel like doing. Whatever it is in the moment.
And believe that somehow you can make a life out of that. Because the alternative is a life not worth living, and I’ve had quite a few years of experience at that.
I don’t know, I guess what I’m getting at is that in the end, the whole believe in yourself isn’t as cliché as it sounds sometimes. Because honestly? If anyone’s going to believe in you, 100%? It’s yourself.
Basically
Person inside the convention: Can we take a picture of you?
Me: -nods-
Person: -starts taking a picture-
Person: thank you
Me: -smiles- thank you as well
Person: are you a girl?
Me: -stares-
So I reblogged a gif set of Rick Grimes shaving and tagged it with: #yes #death to the scruff #daryl next. And i lost like 4 followers because i think they thought I wanted Daryl to die when really I just want him to shave so I can see his pretty face again
Me: I'll show YOU 50 shades of grey.
Aequanimitatis(sister): That's sounds...
Me: That's not what I meant.
Dokomanari(sister): That's not how I took it.
Me: I was talking about sidewalks.
Aequantimitatis(sister): That makes it worse!
Me: Noo! FIGHTING!!
