are there any other pirate enthusiasts out there? i don’t know why but i’ve always fucking loved pirates, which is incredibly strange considering i hate the ocean and boats. but like they’re hot??? and they get to wear cool outfits?? and fight with swords??? and they hunt for treasure?? sign me up aye aye captain

As you know at this point I’m just being stubborn by not having caught myself up yet. I think maybe in some ways I’m punishing myself for not getting enough work done maybe.... but that’s a story for another time.

What would happen if Crowley sneezed and Aziraphale instinctively say "bless you"? Also, if they were ever in public after, and Crowley sneezed, do you think people would think Aziraphale was rude for not saying Bless you to his... um... ~special~ person?

I like to think a general blessing from an angel would make a human a bit glowy, a bit happy, maybe a bit 'blessed' with luck or extra manifestation abilities for a while.

I imagine it's the same effect on Crowley, but with a little stingy tingle all over, like the burn of chapped lips but all over for an hour nor so.

It doesnt hurt but they'd both rather avoid it again, and anyway, people say bless you because of an old superstition that the devil could enter your body while you sneezed because your soul leaves it momentarily.

Crowley doesnt have to worry about that. Not because he doesn't have a soul, but because, well...you cant keep your own self out of your body.

So to be polite, show the same sentiment, and to keep people from questioning why someone wouldn't say bless you to their own husband, Aziraphale and Crowley both say things like gazunteit, salud, and sometimes hello, as in, "If your soul left your body, welcome back." (They reserve that one for orivate- it's a bit weird.)
