to clarify, this is me ranting about my feelings, not criticising a work, therefore I won't mention the og fic.

i am kinda unreasonably upset about a fic.... transformers..... With Megatron on Starscream violence being very acknowledged. Specific thing that got my skin crawling was from Megatron's pov, of noting a deformation in Starscream's frame (this is peace time after war, Megatron getting redemption-ish?, Starscream being in position of power) and being fucking pleased and reminiscing about how he tore his wing off. And then Starscream kisses him goodbye??????

Now it's that i do enjoy the angst, the story behind this. But just. Not only reading from Megatron's pov, but also him being rewarded for his shit is so crazy to me.

Usually when I stumble upon megastar content, the read/headcanons/interpretation is very different, like clown on clown violence. Of them both being aggressive, while mutual and consensual and a kinda game they are playing.

On the other end, you have the full abuse interpretation, that, if sexual, is clearly rape.

But this one kinda fucked me up. Like, clearly violent past, where the aggressor is proud and happy and the victim absolutely hates his guts, but, then twist reveal, also likes him? In a kiss-goodbye way????? And all the characters around them are enabling it?????? if not straight up encouraging it???????

just, I feel soo conflicted about this. but y know what? FUCK BEING CIVIL. I hated that. Muted the writer! That's right! won't see any of your twisted Megatron-apologist BS! HA. Megaop my ass! if that is the version of Megatron you want to write, the only thing that grey bucket should be doing is burning in hell. No enabling abuse! No saying that Megatron secretly cares so much for him, when his expressing that means breaking what he claims to love! fuck you! love is such a great thing, don't you dare put it in the same sentence as that loser. What he showed is a lot of things and NONE of them are positive!! I can't even call what he had with Starscream abuse, BECAUSE that would imply a circle where at some point he apologises and PREtends to be good to him. But that just is not present. non at all.
