IMA Gallery's Full Frame show. Come check out some work! The opening reception is tonight!
Upcoming Shows: Photorama & Full Frame
I'm excited to announce that I will have work in two upcoming fundraiser shows for two great art institutions in Toronto. My Toronto Reference Library piece will be available at Gallery TPW's Photorama show. And my Istanbul image will be at the IMA Gallery's Full Frame holiday show.
This is a good opportunity to get my work at lower than usual price while also helping out the arts community in our city. For both shows part of the proceeds will go directly to the galleries and there are a lot of other great artist's who will have work for sale!
Details:
Photorama - Opening Reception Friday, November 30, 6 - 9 pm Full Frame - Gala Reception Thursday, November 29th 7–10 p.m
For full details have a look at their websites. Hope to see you there!
Full Frame Holiday Show and Sale
Emerging artists from, Ryerson University's IMA programs, will be exhibiting their work to the public. I'm one of them! And so are many of my friends. Please come out and support some great work!
Opening Reception: November 29th, 7pm-80 Spadina Ave (TIW)
Fashion x Dance x Art I'm in a silent auction battle royale right now at Full Frame, the Ryerson University Image Arts student holiday show and sale hosted at the I.M.A. Gallery. There's one collection of photographs that is reminiscent of the above Dynamic Blooms video by Nick Knight. The video integrates modern fashion, contemporary dance, and art to create beautiful, free flowing scenes and images that evokes flowers in bloom. The photograph I'm trying to purchase by Haley Wessel-Friesen is called A Dance and its subject matter is varying articles of clothing in free fall. It is an interesting study of how light is seen through fabric and how fabric shapes itself without the human wearing it being there. Fabric in many ways can be thought of as liquid water. It drapes itself and takes the form of its wearer the same way liquid water takes the form of the container it is poured into. I cannot wait to wrap up the auction bidding for this photograph!!
