Such excite, my guys! Further trash under the cut - I don’t wanna clog up your dash with my trash lmao, but definitely feel free to keep reading, I’ve included my drunk Star Trek review.
So, first of all, my apologies for how long it’s been since I actually hit 500 followers (*cough* mid February *cough*). This year I’m working on my honours thesis, and I’m just about to finish the course work and get onto the writing and research stuff. Also from about February onwards, I was looking for a house to rent, and I finally got one early April, and then I had to work out all the internet and utilities, and we’re still not completely up and running yet - I haven’t changed my licence over.
Here’s a picture of me at my new house. I’m in love with the fireplace. When I stand on it, I feel like I’m about to accuse a member of a dinner party for murdering the host. You can really tell where my priorities lie lmao
Before this blog, I had a misc trash blog, mostly fandom and humour, and I wanted to post more Star Trek stuff as I got into it, but I decided to have a seperate blog altogether. Thus, StarTrekStarTrash was born.
I’ve never had 500 followers on any social media platform (except for that Harry Potter/Starkid instagram account I had when I was like 14, but I try to forget about all of that). So, I’m like, I wanna do something to celebrate, but I also don’t interact with my followers and mutuals at all, and I’ve never been in this situation, so I don’t know how to celebrate lmao.
A month or so ago I put forward the idea of doing something to celebrate, and a drunk episode review was requested, so here it is:
Look, my favourite episode of Star Trek is the tribble episode. I love harry mudd, I love uhura and chekov, and their love for tribbles. The best thing that happened that episode was Kirk getting salty about the tribbles being everywhere, such as his chair, his plate, and his something else. Honestly, I’m a little confused between the tos and the tas, because they were amazing. That said, I would love to rewatch the tas episode where they go through the nebula where the computer becomes a joker and they get the romulans to go through the nebula and that ends badly for the romulans but good for the Enterprise is all I want for Kirk and the gang. Overall, 10/10 for the tribble episode(s). Also shout out to autocorrect for helping me out. Thanks bud. And Emily for vaguely looking over and saying she doesn’t know how to spell romulans.
So kudos to drunk me for getting that done, and to my friend for trying to help with the spelling of ‘Romulan’. Also, in hindsight, I’m pretty sure it was Klingons, not Romulans, in that tas episode.
Anyway, a big thank you to all my followers - getting notes is the highlight of my day! Don’t forget - my inbox is always open, and you can always message me, even just to chat, or to demand to know the reasons behind my tags, and what tags I’m using for whom.
